Chinese Small Arms from the 7th Beijing Police Equipment Expo

Wed, 05/13/2015 - 06:08

I recently did a TFB write-up on the inner working of the Chinese QBZ-95 bullpup. That piece plus my RS Regulate AK optic mounts and the new QBZ-95 optic articles got translated into Chinese and posted in some Mainland website as soon as they were up on TFB. That site didn’t bothered even put a link-back to the […]

LuckyGunner: How to Reload a Revolver

Wed, 05/13/2015 - 05:15

Not a wheelgun fan myself, but that does not mean I lack for appreciation of those who run them really well. An admitted personal weakness has been getting the reloads down pat. With my muscle memory dedicated entirely to box-magazine fed handguns, the individual rounds or clips just have not agreed with me. LuckyGunner has […]

Volquartsen is taking it to a whole new level of precision by using Wire-EDM Manufacturing to produce their “Exact Edge” extractor. The new […]

This means that if you have emailed me and expected a reply, but have not gotten it yet, you probably will not get one. This applies to everybody, even friends or family.  Please […]

Recently Tydex Holsters posted up a picture of their Millennium Falcon inspired kydex holster.   Here is a rebel alliance holster. Tydex even made Darth Vader.   Off the grid made a Boba Fett holster a while ago. And my buddy Johnny, of Black Center Tactical, made a Chewbacca themed holster.

Tue, 05/12/2015 - 06:08

Picatinny Arsenal took a look at the M249 and experimented with reducing its hefty weight of 17.5 lbs down to 9.2 lbs. They also gave it a new name: Cased Telescoped Light Machine Gun, or CT LMG. To achieve this impressive weight loss, they did not use exotic materials. Rather they removed material where they could […]

Now, companies like HiperFire and now TriggerTech are re-thinking the fundamentals of how the trigger itself can operate. TriggerTech’s […]

Our good friend Andrew of GY6 Productions has published his full review of the Arsenal Double Barrel 1911. I published the teaser video last week, but this is the full review showing the first 500 rounds he fired through it. How the M-16 3-Round Burst Works

Mon, 05/11/2015 - 15:05

Most military members take the arcane workings of their rifle for granted. Even an avid shooter myself, I was NEVER allowed to do maintenance on my M-16 fire control group while I was in the Corps. While some might argue this is a good thing considering that many members of the military are not interested […]
