FBI Decides On 9mm

Tue, 10/07/2014 - 12:43

The great caliber debate is more of a myth than anything. What you shoot well with is the best caliber for you. But, now we have a whole slew of fantastic scientific evidence from the FBI ballistic labs that helps solidify and justify their recent move to the 9mm caliber.

Earlier this year is when the FBI announced their return to the 9mm after finding that 40S&W rounds were causing too much excessive wear to their firearms.

First reported by loadoutroom.com, this justification below is worth the read. It may change your mind once and for all, and change what you think you may know about the 9mm cartridge.

TX Bar Patron Wanted After Shooting Armed Robbers

Mon, 10/06/2014 - 14:14

A TX man who frequents a particular bar is being sought after he shot and killed two of four armed robbers that came into the bar just after closing Saturday morning. The armed patron ignored TX state law that prohibits carrying a firearm in an establishment where alcohol is served.

This man is currently being sought by police, and will likely face felony charges. Other bar patrons, however, are speaking out about this man’s good deeds and feel that he did the right thing.

After shots were fired, the patron left, probably due to the fact that he was breaking the law.

Could this pave the way for changing Texas law?

Ultimate Hypocrite

Fri, 10/03/2014 - 09:21

The National Rifle Association has struck back at former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, dinging him as the “ultimate hypocrite” for lobbying against Second Amendment rights for average Americans while maintaining his own personal armed security force.

He is one that believes that the rules should apply to the little people. We are a nation of laws, not men — so all laws should apply equally, regardless of who they are applied to.

Making The Decision To Defend Yourself

Thu, 10/02/2014 - 10:15

Imagine a mosquito landed on your arm. Would you swat it? Simple socialist logic suggests that you should let it be. After all, all biting mosquitoes bite are single mothers who need your blood to complete their reproductive cycle. Moreover, the sting isn’t fatal or even disabling to you, merely slightly itchy. Transmission of malaria and West Nile disease is only a factor in some areas, so there’s no long-term threat to your life and health. Let the mosquito be!

Somehow, I get an impression that you would kill that poor, benighted insect that was only following its instincts. So you have no trouble using deadly force to stop a small imposition on you by a being with no moral sense. Fine! Let’s talk about cute, cuddly puppies instead.

Pennsylvania Could Give The NRA The Right To Sue Cities

Wed, 10/01/2014 - 11:19

Cities in Pennsylvania may have to think carefully before passing ordinances relating to guns and gun control in future years: Doing so could land them in legal trouble with the National Rifle Association.

The Pennsylvania state House last week passed a measure that would give anyone who may legally own a firearm, or a membership organization like the NRA, the legal standing to sue any municipality that enacts gun laws that are more stringent than the state’s.

The measure could make enhanced gun laws a financial risk for the cities themselves: It could require cities on the losing end of lawsuits to pay the legal bills of the plaintiff.
