GUN CONTROL BLUES: Even Democrats Don’t Think Gun Control Laws Stop Big City Crime Any More

Thu, 01/06/2022 - 14:00

The People of the Gun have long known that gun control only disarms victims, not criminals. Now, even Democrats are wising up to that fact. By a more than two-to-one margin, Democrats surveyed in a Trafalgar Group poll say gun control either makes no difference or actually makes matters worse when it comes to big city crime.  Among the general population, that number rises to over 80%.

Those results, of course, don’t fit with the mainstream media’s prevailing narrative, so you won’t see stories about the poll in the New York Times or on MSNBC.

Illinois State Police Agree To End ‘Fee Stacking’ for FOID Cards

Wed, 01/05/2022 - 16:00

Yes, Illinois still has the much-reviled Firearms Owners ID Card. However, thanks to a class-action lawsuit settlement, the Illinois State Police have agreed to end their egregious practice of fee stacking, charging FOID applicants an extra dollar to process their application fee for the 10-year license.

The ISP announced the proposed settlement in recent days. It nets the Maag law firm a $100,000 payday while leaving roughly 2.5 million Land of Lincoln FOID holders with nothing other than the good news that the dollar will no longer be charged for renewals once the settlement is finalized.

Soon-To-Be Former Lyft Driver Shoots a Pair of Carjackers in the City of Brotherly Love

Wed, 01/05/2022 - 14:00

“Brotherly Love” surely seems to be a distant thing of the past in Philadelphia. Under the permissive policies of Philly DA Karry Krasner, and “bail reform” efforts, the city experienced a record number of shootings and murders last year.

But according to police, a Lyft driver put the brakes on a couple of armed carjackers with the help of his carry piece. While the bad guys wanted to trade up from their Honda Accord to the driver’s Infiniti, their criminal enterprise yielded enough hot lead to put them in critical condition.

Over 80% Of Americans Say Gun Control Laws Did Nothing to Reduce Crime or Made Big Cities More Dangerous

Wed, 01/05/2022 - 13:06

By Larry Keane

Gun control groups worked for decades to impose Second Amendment restrictions that do little to reduce crime. They’ve used public relations campaigns, scare tactics and rhetoric that never addresses those actually committing these tragedies.

Over the past two years, though, Americans have experienced first-hand what happens when they are left defenseless against criminals who don’t follow the law. A new poll shows law-abiding Americans have had enough of the gun control groups’ schemes and the ruse is up.

Mon, 01/03/2022 - 13:21

You know what they say, three men can keep a secret…just as long as two of them are dead. Smith & Wesson’s new CSX pistol has had a remarkably low-key release. The pistol first showed up on Reddit last week in the r/guns forum. Supposedly an employee at an FFL got his hands on one and posted a photo, but nuked the thread after people were trying to figure out which gun store he worked at.
