The Truth About Guns

Question of the Day: What Gun Games for Xmas?
I don’t play video games. They’re too good and I have too much to do. Like reading the book, Men Who Game Too Much and the Schnauzers Who Love Them. My addiction began with Battlezone, a polygon-based tank game that sucked down quarters like INSERT QUASI-MISOGYNIST METAPHOR HERE. It ended with Call of Duty, when I heard the call of duty to raise my daughter as a single father. But I still love gun games from afar. Not Jafar. But if Jafar was driving a tank, his ass would be mine. Just sayin’. What gun games are you playing and which ones do you recommend as Xmas gifts to yourself or others?

Elliot Fineman: America’s Most Dangerous Gun Control Zealot?
No doubt Elliot Fineman will consider this post an honor. The head of the Campaign to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV) has positioned himself as the de facto champion of anti-gun extremists. This he’s done through the CSGV Facebook page, where Fineman’s endless stream of incendiary posts unleash a flood of anti-ballistic bile; comments so full of hatred they remind of nothing so much as the rabid racism that poisoned this country for generations. Which make the example above all the more ironic . . .
...Quote of the Day: Cease and Desist Edition
“When toy guns are mistaken for real guns, there can be tragic consequences. New York State law is clear: retailers cannot put children and law enforcement at risk by selling toy guns that are virtually indistinguishable from the real thing.” – New York Attorney General Eric Schneidermann in Major retailers assailed over realistic toy guns [at cbsnews.com]
