Joel, a gun control enthusiast to his middle-class Jewish roots, can’t be too thrilled about this, so get it while you can. Although we think they’re on firm ground as a parody, what do we know about law?

As those of you who are either buying or selling (or even window shopping) know, while the shortage of center-fire ammunition has eased (as production has caught up with higher demand), rimfire ammo remains in short supply.

On a recovery week, you shouldn’t be shocked to learn we recovered a lot. The blog got back to its usual self, with most days having a gun technical post in the AM, a war, UW or SF culture post at 1100, a When Guns Are Outlawed post at 1400, and one post that could be just about anything at 1800.

This is another of those classic 1950s British war movies. (In the US it had the title “Hell in Korea.”) One rather charming thing about it is, after the very dated main titles run, you see the cast — first the National Servicemen (draftees), including the patrol’s lieutenant; then the professional soldiers, including some NCOs and a few incorrible career privates, a fine British martial tradition. Only the characters are introduced, not the actors: you’ll see them in the end; or pull up the IMDB cast page if you’re curious.

Back in October we told the sad story of Dr Kiersten Cerveny, a 38-year-old dermatologist and married mother of three who was thin and pretty — she was America’s Junior Miss, 1994, before becoming a doctor. Cerveny took a walk on the wild side and partied hearty with Hollywood TV producer Marc Henry Johnson and others, including a career-criminal ex-con buddy of Johnson’s, one James Holder.
