“The ATF Has Called a 14-inch Shoestring a Firearm” Says Cali Gun Store Owner in Interview

Wed, 03/19/2014 - 16:44

The ATF has deemed that an 80%  lower is a firearm (even though it’s little more than a paperweight), and they used that as justification for raiding a gun store in California.

If you have been paying any attention at all to gun rights issues in the last week you have seen the story of ATF agents ignoring a restraining order against them so they could raid gun store, Ares Armor in California.  See video of what happened here.

Here is an interview we found of the owner of Ares Armor speaking out against the ATF and the agency’s anti-gun agenda.  In the interview Dimitrios Karras claims that the ATF has classified a 14-inch shoestring as a firearm.  And this is not the only problem with the agency’s overreach of power.

As if supporters of the 2nd amendment don’t have enough battles with anti-gun politicians and doctors, it seems the ATF has chosen law abiding citizens as its next target.

Let’s face it.  Obama is after your guns

SC Pub Faces National Outrage from Gun Owners After This Sign Called Gun Carriers Losers

Tue, 03/18/2014 - 17:37

If you want to commit business suicide this is exactly how you do it.  You post a sign that makes fun of gun owners and calls them losers and then expect to get their business.

An anti-gun sign never made anyone safer, but a certain pub in South Carolina though it would be a great idea to post the sign in the picture above in its window.  After all, this would keep any armed criminal from even darkening the door while the helplessly disarmed people inside would be perfectly safe right?

But rather then just say that concealed weapons were not allowed, the owner decided to go a step further and make fun of gun owners.

According to the Washington Times,

[VIDEO] Nearly 1,000 Gun Registration Forms are Burned in New York in Protest of “Safe Act”

New York lawmakers had no idea they would wake up the beast when they signed the dotted line on unconstitutional gun control laws.  But it looks like more and more New Yorkers are standing up against the so called “SAFE Act” which bans hundreds of rifle makes and limits gun magazines.

In an open protest again this gun control law, New Yorkers in Saratoga Springs have gathered to burn their gun registration forms, refusing to comply with the gun law.

According to Poststar.com,

The forms are used for people to register with New York State Police firearms that meet the state’s definition of mil

AR-15 80% Lowers Available on Amazon as “Paperweights”

Mon, 03/17/2014 - 09:34

Just to show how ridiculous the gun control argument is, some have listed 80% lowers on Amazon as “paperweights”.  After all, it’s merely a chunk of metal and does make a great decorative piece for any home.  They can’t call it an AR-15 lower, but someone got a little creative with their listing.

The Amazon listing here has this description of the lower (just in case it’s taken down and you miss it):

Highest quality 7075-T6 paperweight on the market, Identical in every cut to look exactly like an 80% lower, show off that you support the second amendment with this high quality paperweight sitting on your desk. 1 to 1 repl

Man to New Jersey Assembly Committee on Gun Ban: “We Will Not Comply”

Sun, 03/16/2014 - 22:57

We saw it happen in Connecticut and you might see it happen in New Jersey if recent gun control laws are signed by the Governor.  NJ gun owners who could turn into criminals overnight because of a gun law will simply not comply with unconstitutional gun laws.

Anthony P. Colandro of NJ Gun for Hire tells the New Jersey Assembly Committee that he and untold multitudes of legal gun owners in his state will not just bow to an anti-gun agenda.

Let’s face it.  Obama is after your guns and he is willing to use executive order to accomplish this task.  This free video reveals “3 secret loopholes” to defeat Obama’s gun confiscation schemes for good.  CLICK HERE. (Sponsored ad)

Update: ATF Violates Restraining Order, Raids California Gun Shop, Ares Armor, Shown in Video

Sun, 03/16/2014 - 15:50

ATF agents raiding Ares Armor

In Oceanside California, some very disturbing events are unfolding.  We reported last week about gun shop, Ares Armor getting a restraining order against the ATF due to the imminent threat of a raid to confiscate the names and contact information of customers.

The ATF wanted the names of 5,000 customers who bought AR-15 lowers which cannot even be classified as firearms.  Ares Armor agreed to turn in all of their gun parts that the ATF called into question and also agreed to stop selling them, but they refused to give up their customers contact information.

Well now it looks like the ATF decided to completely ig

[VIDEO] Over 40 OK Sheriffs Walk Out of Capitol Building After Senator Demands They Remove Their Firearms

Sun, 03/16/2014 - 15:16

KTUL.com – Tulsa, Oklahoma – News, Weather

The name of the senator who demanded the 40 plus sheriffs remove their guns was not given to the law enforcement officials, but sheriffs across Oklahoma are obviously upset after this incident.

The sheriffs were accustomed to visiting the capital once a year as part of a meet and greet and to talk with their state law makers.  But this time, because one of the senators (who was apparently very anti-gun) complained about the sheriffs being armed and laid down an ultimatum.

Either the sheriffs had to disarm themselves, or they have to leave.  The sheriffs chose to leave.

U.S. Supreme Court Refuses to Hear Case Against “No-Knock” Police Raid of Gun Owners Home

Fri, 03/14/2014 - 19:30

“no-knock” raids make things more dangerous for both law enforcement and homeowners.

A case in which police used a “no-knock” raid simply because there was a legal gun owner in the home is getting national attention.  But the U.S. Supreme court has refused to hear it.

It is becoming more common for SWAT teams to raid home without knocking when they suspect that there is a gun owner in the house, but this has put both homeowners and police in more dangerous situations, as homeowners have assumed that intruders were break

Janitor Faces Charges After Shooting His Attackers Who Were Beating Him with Baseball Bat

Fri, 03/14/2014 - 18:15

It’s bad enough that the janitor in this story was attacked by 3 people with a baseball bat, but now he could face possibly charges for defending his life and shooting his attackers rather then let them continue to pummel him.

According to a Milwaukee newspaper, there were two teens and a 20-year-old involved in the incident which reportedly was captured on cell phone video.

The 39-year-old man accused of shooting the two Wednesday afternoon while he was being beaten with a baseball bat is being held in the Milwaukee County Jail on possible homicide charges.

The shootings were reported about 1 p.m. Wednesday at an apartment building in the 1400 block of N. 27th St.

Police said an argument occurred between the janitor and three people: the teens

16-Year-Old is Suspended for Refusing to Remove NRA T-Shirt at NY School

Thu, 03/13/2014 - 14:00

The zero-tolerance for common sense in schools has revealed itself again as a 16-year-old boy was suspended for simply wearing an NRA t-shirt which quoted from our constitution.

Does the shirt in the above picture look violent to you?  Well according to the NY school those are the grounds for their request to have 16-year-old Shane Kinney either turn the shirt inside out or put tape over it.

In the past Shane has worn NRA t-shirts to school and has been told to put tape over the words, because apparently quoting from our 2nd amendment to the constitution is somehow offensive.   But this time he stood his ground and refused to take off the shirt.

California Gun Store Owner Thwarts ATF Raid to Take the Names of 5,000 Customers Who Bought AR-15 Lowers

Thu, 03/13/2014 - 11:32

In Oceanside, California, a gun shop was able to halt a federal raid that would have confiscated their computers and the privacy of their customers.   Thanks to this shop owner standing up for the 2nd and 4th amendment rights of his customers, the ATF will have to forget about raiding this gun shop, at least for now.

According to Fox 5 San Diego,

Dimitrios Karras, owner of Ares Armor, said the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents were investigating their business, not for what they sell, but for the people who purchase their products.

Karras said the ATF threatened to shutter their business if they didn’t hand over the names of 5,000 customers who have purchased an 80 percent lower receiver (the base) for building an AR-1

[VIDEO] Gov. Rick Perry’s Quick Reply to Jimmy Kimmel on Guns: “I do interviews with a gun”

Wed, 03/12/2014 - 16:11

Greeted by a handful of audible boos and jeers, Rick Perry was able to win over the audience when he took the stage during Jimmy Kimmel’s visit to Austin on Tuesday night. As part of a Kimmel’s week-long set of shows in association with South by Southwest, the longest-serving Texas governor chatted with the late-night host about his stance on marijuana legalization, his concealed-carry permit, and his future plans.

Perry attributed the Austin crowd’s initial harsh reception to the city’s unique character, one that differs from most of the rest of the state; he described Austin as “the blueberry in the tomato soup” that is the state of Texas. He managed to fall into the audience’s good graces later on by touting his support of minimizing penalties for minor drug offenses, his l

Video Parody of Connecticut Gun Laws Shows the Idiocy of New Gun Legislation

Wed, 03/12/2014 - 11:28

Photo from Youtube user realityalwayswins video screengrab

Gun owners in the so called “constitution state” are tired of being treated like criminals, and who can blame them?   Connecticut’s gun laws have turned law abiding citizens into felons overnight, all while giving a false sense of security to the ignorant.

This new video parody helps reveal just how ridiculous these new gun laws are.  It’s so blatantly obvious that these laws are meant to go after law abiding gun owners rather than violent criminals it’s like the gun-grabbers were not even trying to hide it.

While registering gun magazines will make it easier for the local government to track you down and confiscate your property when the time comes, does it really do anything to stop someone from using it to commit a crime?  Or, for that matter, does even confiscating once legal guns stop a criminal

Dr. Ben Carson Says He is Against Gun Registration Because of Martial Law

Tue, 03/11/2014 - 19:53

Dr. Ben Carson made some comments on gun rights and gun control on Monday that are getting people talking.

At the New York Meeting Carson said he did not believe that gun registration was the right course of action because America’s economic climate which could easily turn the country into a third world nation would then usher in martial law.

According to Breitbart.com,

Carson, the retired neurosurgeon who has been getting buzz in conservative circles, said that he changed his mind and was against gun registration because of the &#8

[VIDEO] Take a Peek Inside the First Bitcoin-Friendly Gun Store

Tue, 03/11/2014 - 16:41

Ever since Michael Cargill’s gun shop started accepting Bitcoin sales have been through the roof.  Gun owners who don’t want to rely on banks to make financial transactions are turning to Bitcoin for both security and privacy.

Forbes put together a great video on this man’s gun shop and why he started accepting Bitcoin.

From Forbes:

In January, Cargill’s Austin firearm shop and training center Central Texas Gunworks began accepting Bitcoin as an alternative to dollars for all sales, making his store the first legal Bitcoin-friendly firearm retail business in the country, if not the

When a Tennessee man was getting his conceal carry permits last year with his family he told them that they would probably never have to use their guns in a life or death situation.  It turns out he was wrong.

Kenny Guffey was on the phone with his 83-year-old mother when he noticed a change in her tone and knew immediately that something was wrong.

Guffey told WVLT-TV,

“We were talking probably ten minutes and then all of the sudden her voice panicked and she said, ‘What are you doing in my house, oh no, he’s got a knife. What are you doing with the knife?’”

Anti-Gun Bob Costas Says He Not a Hypocrite Even with Armed Security Guards

Mon, 03/10/2014 - 20:16

In an interview on Foxnews yesterday, Bob Costas tried to defend himself against accusations that he was a hypocrite on gun control.    He has excused his use of armed security guards by saying that he never hired them personally but they were hired by the NFL or NBC for him.

Fox News’s Howard Kurtz brought up topics like political correctness op the topic of the Washington Redskins name and then went on to issues relating to the controversial comments Costas has made on gun control.

Costas has in the past made comments like this one:

“I think any sane person believes we ought not have high capacity magazines and assault rifles and that there ought to be background checks,” Costas said. “You know what? I’m not exactly sure what’s sane, but I know a lot of what I’ve heard in the aftermath is insane.”

In the interview Kurtz said,

“You were accused of injecting politics into halftime, and Fox N
