Explorer Henry Worsley Dies 30 Miles from Finishing Solo Antarctica Trek

British explorer Henry Worsley died last week while attempting the first solo expedition across Antarctica in recorded history.

After spending 71 days alone on the continent and traveling over 900 miles, Worsley was just 30 miles away from his destination when he called for help and was airlifted to a hospital in Punta Arenas, Chile.

World Record Spotted Bass Rumored to Be Caught in California

Another angler in California may have caught the largest spotted bass on record. Late last week Siebert Outdoors released a story from Wes Roberts, who claimed to have caught an 11-pound spotted bass back on December 27.

Clyde Roberts has no problem doing that, and just this season, he harvested both a buck and a doe.  The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries recently sat down with one of the oldest active hunters in the country, perhaps to learn just how he continues to hunt successfully at his advanced age.

Texans Report Sightings of Large White Cat, Possible Albino Mountain Lion

Since late 2015, residents of Cass County, Texas have reported sightings of a large, unidentified white cat in the area. The animal was spotted several times in a wooded area near Hughes Springs, close to the Cass-Morris County border.
