Mon, 04/10/2023 - 16:00

We don’t know how many Wrangler revolvers Ruger’s made and sold in they announced it back in 2019, but it’s probably enough to fill the holsters of everyone who’s ever acted in a cowboy movie. Ruger’s take on a .22LR version of their venerable Single Six priced at less than two bills, depending on barrel length, is exactly what a large percentage of the gun-buying public wants in a range gun. Or a kit gun.

ATF Head: Gun Industry’s Programs Have Reduced Crime, Firearm Accidents

Mon, 04/10/2023 - 14:00

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Director Steven Dettelbach spoke at length with The Washington Post about his responsibilities at the helm of the federal agency charged with overseeing the firearm industry.

The Post is unabashedly antigun and pushes gun control propaganda whenever possible. During the discussion, however, Dettelbach took the opportunity to highlight the firearm industry’s efforts to reduce crimes committed with firearms and lower firearm accidents, praising the ATF’s two-decades long partnership with NSSF on firearm safety initiatives.

Sun, 04/09/2023 - 16:00

With names like “The Call Girl” and “The Thief” you would think we were talking about titles for a steamy Lifetime movie instead of essentials for turkey season. Sun, 04/09/2023 - 09:55

Army Sgt. Daniel Perry was driving for Uber in downtown Austin, Texas on Saturday, July 25th, 2020. That night, a black lives matter protest marched down Congress Avenue. As Perry’s car attempted to turn onto Congress from Fourth Street, the car was surrounded by marchers. One of those protesters was Garrett Foster who was carrying a slung AK-47 rifle.

As the crowd surrounded Perry’s car, Foster raised his rifle. That’s when Perry shot and killed him.

America’s Worst School Massacre That No One Wants to Talk About

Sun, 04/09/2023 - 08:00

Few today even remember the Bath School Massacre, and it is rarely – if ever – even mentioned by the media alongside those other mass killings. The reason is that it sadly doesn’t fit the modern narrative.

While it left forty-four people dead, including thirty-eight children, no one could blame video games, and suggesting movies had an influence would be a stretch as this day of infamy took place on May 18, 1927.

Good News: The IRS Promises it Won’t Use Any of the $80 Billion in New Funds it’s Getting for More Armed Agents

Sat, 04/08/2023 - 16:00

As is the custom, Congress and the Biden administration used the passage of the hilariously-named Inflation Reduction Act to tack on all kinds of additional pork totaling about $740 billion in newly printed dollars. That’s the bill that West Virginia’s credulous Senator Joe Manchin rolled over for, buying Chuck Schumer’s and Biden’s all-too-predictably bogus promises of future consideration to “support and expand fossil energy” to sign on. Manchin’s rube-like credulousness is still a source of amazement.

Florida Sheriff Horrifies the Media By Telling the Truth About Guns

Sat, 04/08/2023 - 13:00

From the CCRKBA

Marion County, Florida Sheriff Billy Woods was “absolutely right” Friday when he told reporters during a press conference about the arrests of two suspects in a triple slaying that the gun is not responsible, the people using it are, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.

“It’s deplorable that NBC News chose to describe Sheriff Woods’ remarks as a ‘wild rant’ against gun control when he responded to a question from a reporter,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb.

By John Petrolino

Instructor and advocate Bill Dalpe did not intend to go down the road he did initially. Dalpe wanted to bring a social awareness program to a local school, and after getting stonewalled by an administrator, he realized he needed to take matters into his own hands. The educator, with decades of experience, found himself authoring his own book on personal safety and responsibility for young teens, After The Bell Rings.

Sat, 04/08/2023 - 08:09

Ruling on ‘Red Flag’ Gun Confiscations Shows Civil Rights Still Matter, Even in New York

Fri, 04/07/2023 - 16:00

A New York court has affirmed that due process rights must be taken into consideration when enforcing so-called “red flag” laws and vacated New York’s Gov. Kathy Hochul’s executive order for enforcing Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs) or “red flag” orders. That is consistent with what NSSF has said from the beginning about ERPOs.

If an individual is going to be deprived of fundamental constitutional rights, they must be afforded the opportunity to examine and challenge evidence brought against them – they must be afforded due process of law.

Social Contagion: Colorado Springs Police Arrest Trans Man Who Threatened Another School Shooting

Fri, 04/07/2023 - 10:00

There’s a school of thought that the more publicity that’s given to spree shooters, the more spree shootings we get. By publicizing what sick, twisted individuals do, other similarly disturbed people are incented to do the same and achieve thier own perverse celebrity.

That’s certainly going to be one of the theories for what apparently almost happened in Colorado Springs where police say they stopped a 19-year-old man who claims he’s female from shooting up a school there.
