5 Dead, 40 Injured in Waukesha Parade Attack, Suspect in Custody

A joyous scene of marching bands and children dancing in Santa hats and waving pompoms turned deadly in an instant, as an SUV sped through barricades and into a Christmas parade in suburban Milwaukee, killing at least five people and injuring more than 40 others.
One video showed a woman screaming, “Oh my God!” repeatedly as a group of young dancers was struck Sunday.

A vehicle has reportedly rammed spectators in an annual Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Police are evacuating the area after reports of multiple gunshots being fired.

Below is a home surveillance video that shows an armed home owner going out to confront two suspected burglars. He was shot in the leg for his trouble and was reportedly in pretty serious condition.

Atlanta Airport TSA Line Negligent Discharge Causes Chaos, Passenger Escapes

A passenger awaiting a search at the Atlanta airport’s main security checkpoint reached in his bag and grabbed a firearm, and it went off, causing chaos among travelers and prompting a temporary FAA ground stop on flights Saturday afternoon, officials said. The man fled.
The man, later identified as a convicted felon, ran with the gun from the checkpoint and escaped out an airport exit, the Transportation Security Administration said.

Rioting Breaks Out in Portland Over Rittenhouse Not Guilty Verdict

Portland police Friday night declared as a riot a demonstration downtown against the acquittal of a teen who killed two people and injured another during a protest in Wisconsin.
The protest of about 200 people was declared a riot after protesters started breaking windows, throwing objects at police and talked about burning down the Justice Center, KOIN TV reported.
The protesters gathered following the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse, 18, in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

The verdict reflects the flimsiness of the case against Rittenhouse, the ineptness of the prosecution during the trial, and the courage of the jurors in the face of enormous pressure and clear attempts to intimidate them.
Rittenhouse was standing guard outside a car dealership in Kenosha on August 25 last year during riots that followed the shooting of Jacob Blake.

This is a knife I shouldn’t like very much. I prefer to carry something smaller, lightweight, more pocketable. I tend to like a slim, no-frills drop point blade. Some people in politics just can’t take the message from voters. Failed U.S. Senate candidate and failed Democratic presidential candidate Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke is sitting at 0-2 down in the count and announced a 2022 gubernatorial campaign.
O’Rourke doubled down on his infamous “Hell Yeah!” call for gun confiscation of the most popular semiautomatic rifle in America. Reaction was swift and that’s not a recipe for success in Texas.
Gallup: More Americans Turning Away From Gun Control as Crime, Gun Ownership Rise
Americans’ support for stricter gun-control measures has fallen to its lowest level since 2014, according to a poll released Wednesday by Gallup.
The results of the October survey come as the number of violent crimes, including murder, has risen and after Americans purchased a record number of guns in 2020.
According to the poll, 52% of U.S. adults say they want stricter gun laws—down from 67% in 2018 after a mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Fla., left 17 people dead.
