Palm Beach Road Rage Incident Leads to Shots Fired, One Man—Not the Shooter—Charged
A road rage incident in Palm Beach last Thursday illustrates why lawyers tell those who carry a gun for self-defense to control their anger and just learn to let stupid things go rather than let road rage get the best of them. Situations can escalate quickly, often from people misreading the actual events playing out around them, and it can become unclear who is in the right or worse, both parties can lose out big time, either financially, with jail time or even losing their life.
Strike Industries Upcoming Sci-Fi Chassis for the P320 and P90
I’m not sure if I was a gun guy or a sci-fi nerd first. I grew up in a shooting household, but my dad also took me to see the original Star Wars when it first came out in 1977. Maybe it was a parallel evolution. Either way, I love guns, and I love sci-fi, so I have a soft spot for sci-fi themed guns. It’s the best of both worlds.
Many times we see sci-fi guns in movies based upon real guns, like the blasters in Star Wars.
Louisiana Constitutional Carry Bill To Be Heard In House Committee Today
Today is the day that the Louisiana House Administration of Criminal Justice Committee will debate the constitutional, or “permitless,” carry measure being considered in the state legislature.
The measure, Senate Bill 1, was passed by the Senate last week with overwhelming support. Backers are hopeful it will receive the same treatment in the House.
Current Louisiana law prohibits the carrying of a concealed firearm and provides that Louisiana residents who meet certain eligibility requirements may apply for and be issued a concealed handgun permit, then must possess the concealed handgun permit to carry a concealed handgun in the state.
Silencer Central Banish Backcountry First Shots
The popularity of mounting a suppressor on a hunting rifle has grown with quantum leaps over the past two decades. The secondary benefit of a suppressor—hearing protection—seems to be the prevailing driver behind the acquisition of hunting rifle silencers these days.
One of the negatives of putting a can on a rifle comes from adding several ounces and several inches of length to what otherwise would be a trim hunting rig. I recently found a new suppressor that answers both negatives at a gun-writer editorial rendezvous in Idaho.

Anti-Gunners Self Own When Celebrating LaPierre’s Loss
For those of us who follow gun news, it’s well-known that the NRA has been a corrupt organization for a long time and that the problem has grown worse over time. Self-serving “leaders” wasted the organization’s money and largely abandoned the causes of fighting for gun rights and firearms education. So, it’s great news that Wayne LaPierre’s time at the organization is over and that him and his buddies now have to pay the NRA back.

N.Y. Attorney General Letitia James Statement on NRA Case Win
The New York Attorney General’s Office posted a press release announcing their successful prosecution of the National Rifle Association, Wayne LaPierre and others in a civil corruption trial.
Wayne LaPierre was found guilty of breach of fiduciary duty and assessed damages of $4.3 million. John Frazier was also found guilty of the same charge but the jury didn’t assess any restitution for damages to him.
The jury also found former NRA Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer Wilson Phillips guilty as well.
Obscure Object of Desire – Beretta 950B Minx
I’m a fan of pocket-sized pistols, and it’s a rather recent fandom. I used to hate pocket pistols, and that’s because I didn’t shoot very well. As my skills progressed, I realized that most handguns are easy to shoot. Pocket pistols still provide a challenge, plus they tend to be very convenient for daily carry. A love of pocket pistols meant a love of the Beretta tip-up guns. I own several of them, and my favorite remains the Beretta Minx, aka the Beretta 950B.

We Need To Respect Gun Rights Despite Fears Of Foreign Agents
In the last few days, I’ve been seeing a story pop up on social media and on gun forums, telling us that Chinese military personnel have invaded the United States and are preparing to shoot us.
To be completely fair, I wouldn’t doubt for a second that Xi Jinping is slipping people in to the United States to do things we wouldn’t want done. The United States does this, too, and for good reasons.
Several Biometric Gun Safes Recalled Over Faulty Locks
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of tens of thousands of biometric gun safes from four manufacturers over faulty locks. Fortunately there have been no injuries reported.
Yahoo News has the details and companies involved.
Thousands of biometric gun safes from various brands were recalled because of faulty locks.
According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, four different brands of biometric gun safes are being recalled as of February 22, 2024.

The Wilderness Belt by Tactical Products LLC: A Forgotten Classic
In the early 2000s I needed a nylon belt to wear on the range as a firearms instructor. I didn’t want a heavy duty belt or Sam Browne belt to lug around all day, but it had to be stiff enough to hold an OWB holster and mag pouches during repeated draws and demonstrations. Several seasoned agents pointed me toward The Wilderness brand from Tactical Products LLC and the original Instructor belts. Unlike most nylon belts, they were as stiff and heavy duty as the double thick leather belts, they could be worn visible or concealed and, unlike leather, they did not discolor or get soft and flimsy with time.
Jury Finds NRA’s Wayne LaPierre Guilty, Orders Him To Repay $4.3M For Misuse of Charitable Funds
For years Wayne LaPierre dismissed charges of malfeasance under his watch as unfounded. He fired or replaced whistleblowers like Col. Oliver North. And then Latitia James caught up with him.
On Friday, after six weeks of trial and five days of deliberations, a jury found the NRA’s now-former head “liable” in a civil corruption trial. While jail time never was on the menu in this civil trial, restitution and penalties certainly were. And the jury told ol’ Wayne to break out his checkbook.
Big Horn’s AR500 Is A T-Rex Thumper
“I like big guns and I cannot lie…”
It’s funny, need I say strange, the things that can run through a writer’s mind when trying to start an article… for some reason a remix of Sir Mix-A-Lot’s 1993 Grammy-winning, double platinum “Baby’s Got Back” hip-hop tune started playing in my head when pondering Big Horn Armory’s half-inch-bore AR pistol. I thought it might be fun to write a lyrical parody of the hip-hop song featuring this manly pistol, but after I read through the song’s original lyrics I had to stop and take a mental shower.

How VR Can Help Erode Gun Control Globally
There’s a concept in international relations called “nuclear latency.” In short, this refers to countries that are “a screwdriver’s turn away” from possessing nuclear weapons. They have the materials, the technology and the data available to quickly assemble them if they choose to, but they’ve so far chosen not to.
Japan is probably the best example of this. After the horrors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan’s population is understandably anti-nuclear. But, that only applies to weapons.

Polymer80 Settles Lawsuit, Will Stop Selling Guns To Maryland Residents
Baltimore, with the help of the Brady Campaign, sued Polymer80, blaming guns for 90% of the gang murders homicides in that city. Of course, we all know that P80s aren’t like the gingerbread man in that they spring to life when completed to rush out and murder people. However, that didn’t stop the plaintiffs (Baltimore & Brady) from making all sorts of wild-eyed accusations against Polymer80, while ignoring our nation’s rich history and tradition of manufacturing firearms at home.
Battle Over Credit Card Merchant Code Being Fought In Several States
Lawmakers in a number of states are pushing legislation concerning the use of a special merchant category code for gun purchases, with nine states pushing to make the scheme illegal and one state led by blatantly anti-gun lawmakers trying to force card companies to adopt the code.
At issue is a new Merchant Category Code (MCC) for gun purchases adopted by the International Organization for Standardization a little over a year ago. MCCs are used by payment processors (like Visa and Mastercard) and other financial services companies to categorize transactions.
The Elite Hate You and Me But We Can Still Fight Back
America’s elites hate the little people. These wealthy and powerful people hold everyday Americans in utter contempt. In fact, it’s almost like they want to take us back to the Stone Age when it comes to prosperity and life—or a lack thereof.
They want to ration food and energy to protect Mother Earth—otherwise known as their precious “Gaia.” They want us to eat bugs while they enjoy Waygu beef and sip the finest wines.

9th Circuit Puts Final Nail In Cali Advertising Ban Coffin—Maybe
The case involving California’s unconstitutional law banning firearms advertisements that “may be attractive to minors” might finally be coming to an end.
Last October, a three-judge panel of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in the case Safari Club International v. Bonta that the law, passed in June 2022 by the California Legislature and signed into law by Gov. Gavin Newsom, to be unconstitutional. But, as bureaucrats are wont to do, state officials appealed the ruling to the full 9th Circuit.
Tribes Need To Use Gun Rights To Fight The Cartels
In theory, the American West (away from the coast, at least) is a pretty good place to carry a gun. Constitutional carry has spread across most states, and the remaining ones (Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado) are fairly good about recognizing permits from other states. But, what many people might not know is that the west can still be a bit of a minefield.
Many people say that tribes are “sovereign nations,” but that’s not entirely true.

Trial Starts For Armorer in Cinematographer Killing
While actor and accused reckless killer Alec Baldwin has received most of the attention since shooting cinematographer Halyna Hutchins with what he assumed was a blank gun back on the set of Rust in October 2021, he’s not the only one flirting with justice in the killing.
The trial for the film’s armorer, 25-year-old Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, began yesterday in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Gutierrez-Reed is charged with involuntary manslaughter and tampering charges for allegedly loading a functional .45 revolver with dummy rounds and at least one live round, according to a Fox News report.

JOHN’S HOPKINS: Stop ‘Insurrection’ Threat with More Gun Control
John’s Hopkins University elitists suggest that gun control for the little people will end or reduce the threat of insurrection. Why, it’s almost as if the Ivory Tower types over there missed their American history classes in junior high school, high school and into college.
Their ignorance of history or the real reason why the Second Amendment was included in the Constitution doesn’t impair their ability to pursue their goal of victim disarmament.
