From Bad to Worse: Dem Candidate’s Photo Op Range Day Yields More Troubling Concerns
Democratic Senate candidate Lucas Kunce’s recent attempt to court gun owners in Missouri backfired spectacularly when one of the reporters covering the event was struck in the arm by shrapnel because Kunce and former congressman Adam Kinzinger were standing too close shooting at steel targets without a proper backstop. Now it seems there are even more troubling issues arising from the epic campaign fail.
Here’s a recap according to The Kansas City Star.
State Rep. Quang Nguyen Scrutinizes Sedona Gun Ordinance
A Sedona ban on firearms in public spaces, which has allegedly gone unenforced for years, has been brought to the attention of Arizona State Rep. Quang Nguyen who notified the City Council earlier this month that Sedona City Code 12.30.090, addressing the carrying of firearms in certain public places, appears to violate state law.
Public records show the prohibition was adopted into code in 2006 and later amended in 2009 and 2012. The issue at hand deals specifically with 12.30.090 paragraphs A and B.
A.

Gun Beats Vehicle as Armed Citizen Stops Attacker from Running People Over
While police have shown time and again skill at successfully using a 5,000-pound bullet (aka police cruiser) to stop a threat, the threats themselves seem to be having trouble executing the same stunt with their vehicles on their intended victims. Recently, in Ohio, an armed citizen prevented a man behind the wheel of a car from running over him and two other people when he drew a sidearm and shot the suspect through the windshield. His shots put an end to the assault when he wounded the driver.
FN Unveils The FN SCAR 15P 300 Blackout
FN has announced the highly anticipated SCAR 15P chambered in .300 Blackout, a SCAR pistol that makes much more sense to shooters than the original 7.5-inch barrel release in 5.56x45mm. The platform debuted in late 2022 as a civilian alternative to the SCAR SC personal defense weapon.
At just under 20 inches in overall length with its 7.5-inch cold hammer-forged and chrome-lined barrel, the SCAR 15P 300BLK incorporates the more recent SCAR tradition of non-reciprocating charging handles.

Giffords, Anti-Gunners Change Their Messaging to Match Changing Crime Stats
By Larry Keane
National gun control activists are having a hard time keeping their messaging to the American people straight ahead of the Nov. 5 election. Giffords Courage to Fight Gun Violence is only the latest example and the breathless hyperbole and hypocrisy coming out of their press releases and campaign emails makes it abundantly clear. They are hypocrites.
The presidential election is razor thin as early voting has started across the country and the campaigns are making their closing pitches to undecided voters.
2nd Circuit Court Rules For New York In “Sensitive Places” Carry Ban Lawsuit
Gun rights advocates looking to overturn New York’s “sensitive places” law have suffered a big loss in a Manhattan courtroom.
The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on Thursday in Antonyuk et al. v. James that the law banning people from carrying weapons in locations such as schools, parks, theaters and bars is constitutional under the Second Amendment. The court also declared constitutional the state’s restrictive “good moral character” requirement for getting a concealed carry permit.
Gun Made Launches The Largest Online Search Engine For Guns and Ammunition
Gun Made just launched the largest online search engine for firearms and ammunition, connecting consumers to more than 4,000 gun stores across the United States. The coolest thing about this search engine is it provides gun buyers with real-time inventory so they can not only check the price, but see if a nearby brick-and-mortar store has the gun in stock. Gun Made tracks over 500 million items so consumers can locate in-stock products on shelves anywhere in the country, including right in their own backyard with a simple ZIP code search for local inventories.
FPC Pushes Forward In Post Office Gun Ban Challenge
The Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) has filed a motion for summary judgment in its case pending before a U.S. District Court in Texas challenging the Post Office gun ban.
The lawsuit FPC v. Garland challenges federal gun control laws prohibiting firearm possession, storage and carry at United States Post Offices and related properties, including post office parking lots. The plaintiffs are two law-abiding citizens licensed to carry in Texas and two non-profit membership associations—FPC and the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF).

Is the .380 Good for Self-Defense? Everything You Need to Know
The .380 ACP has sparked debate among firearms enthusiasts for years, with some dismissing it as underpowered and others championing its compact, easy-to-handle nature.
For those seeking a self-defense caliber that’s both concealable and effective, the .380 remains a viable option.
But how good is it, really?
Key Takeaway
The .380 ACP can be effective for self-defense, but it’s generally considered less powerful than the 9mm. While it offers lower recoil and may be easier to control for some shooters, the 9mm provides better penetration and wound channels, making it more reliable for stopping a threat.
Gun Review – The Savage Rascal
When my six-year-old son looked at me and said he wanted a rifle, I went and got him a rifle. I’m a big proponent of starting them young and teaching safe gun handling, basic marksmanship and the joy of putting alittle piece of lead into a big target. There is a fairly competent market for small rifles designed to teach smaller shooters how to safely shoot. I shopped around a bit and eventually settled on a Savage Rascal.

Federal Judge Issues Permanent Injunction Against NY Public Housing Gun Ban
A federal judge in New York issued a permanent injunction against the Cortland Housing Authority (CHA), barring any firearms ban on CHA properties. The case, led by the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) alongside three plaintiffs—Robert Hunter, Elmer Irwin and Doug Merrin—was ruled by U.S. District Judge Glenn T. Suddaby in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. In his order, Judge Suddaby emphasized that CHA and its affiliates cannot restrict tenants from owning or carrying firearms, as long as they follow federal, state and local firearm laws.
Ohio Woman Fatally Shoots Man In The Groin Upon Request
In a true example of the old saying, “be careful what you wish for,” an elderly Ohio woman has been accused of fatally shooting a man in the groin, which is hard to type without clenching up and making a face, but I digress. What makes this story uncomfortably strange, yes, aside from the junk shot, is the incident allegedly occurred while she was joking with the victim and he requested she take the shot.

11th Circuit Considering Florida’s Under-21 Long Gun Purchase Ban This Week
The lawsuit challenging Florida’s law banning gun owners aged 18 to 20 from purchasing a long gun, as is legal in most other states, is being hashed out this week.
Testimony in the case NRA v Bondi began Tuesday before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta. The case concerns whether the state’s law barring young adults from purchasing shotguns and rifles is constitutional under the Second Amendment.
The measure was passed by the legislature and signed into law by then-Gov.
Democrat Media Op Gone Wrong: Candidate Shoots Reporter
When candidates run for office in rural districts, they naturally want to prove they’re just like the voters they seek to represent. But things often don’t go as planned when they’re just posing as everyday gun owners.
Such was the case in Missouri recently when Democrat Lucas Kunce, a candidate for U.S. Senate, and former congressmen turned CNN commentator Adam Kinzinger held a media event at a private range near Holt, Missouri. With media in tow, Kunce, who is trying to unseat Republican U.S.

Is Banning Fake Guns South Africa’s Next Step?
What’s a gun-hating government to do if they pretty much ban guns but violent criminals continue plying their trade of robbery, rape and assault? In South Africa, banning replica guns—many of them nothing more than kids’ toys—just might be the next move.
According to a report at iol.co.za, that’s what Cape Town Provincial Thembisile Patekile wants to see the legislature do after a spate of thugs using fake guns to commit real crimes has made his job harder.
