Video: See Every Change Glock Made to Its New Gen 5 Model Handgun

Fri, 09/08/2017 - 10:39

If you’ve spent sleepless nights wondering what the new Glock Gen. 5 specs will look like, we have good news for you. We dug up this video on YouTube, and it details every change Glock made for its new handgun.

Check out the video below to get a look at this new firearm that’s as good as holding it in your own hands.

The first thing you’ll likely notice – if it bothered you from past models – is the improvements made on the grip. Gone are the finger grooves that people apparently dreaded, and that’s only the beginning of the changes that Glock made to improve the look of the gun.

The real goodies are found internally, and shooters will surely appreciate what Glock has done to improve the functionality of this firearm:

Video: Backpackers Yell “Hey” At a Lake And Then Something Mesmerizing Happens

Wed, 09/06/2017 - 14:50

There are always surprises in the woods.

The backpackers who filmed this video set up camp at Nellie Lake in the Kaiser Wilderness, CA. While they we siting by the shore the presumably noticed that the waterbugs on the surface of the lake were reacting to their voice. Everytime they shout “Hey” you can watch the bugs move causing a ripple effect across the lake. It’s actually really cool to watch it propagate across the lake in real time.

It’s little things like this that keep us coming back to the wilderness.

You want to know what turns walleye on? Take a look at this . . .

If you’re wondering what’s the best way to entice big walleye, this video will answer all your questions. In this video, you can see from an underwater point of view, just how to work that jig so the fish can’t resist it.

Thousands of kayaks are being loaded onto trucks and are headed from Muskegon, Michigan down to Texas and Louisiana to help aid in Hurricane Harvey relief.

According to mlive, Muskegon-based KL Outdoor/GSC Technologies is sending 2,000 of their personal watercrafts and a whole truckload of jon boats to help those ravaged by this storm.

On top of the 2,000 kayaks being loaded up, KLO/GSC is also sending jon boats to Academy Sports + Outdoors, a Houston-based sporting goods store, to lend a hand in rescue efforts. For those curious, a truckload amounts to roughly 50 boats.

Video: Handstand Bow and Arrow Shot While Mom Holds Target Down Range

Tue, 08/29/2017 - 10:19

This is how NOT to practice for deer season!

This video shows a girl getting in some archery practice, which would normally be something we love to see. Not this time, however. . .

Take a look down range, and you’ll notice she has her mom standing there holding the target for her. (Don’t mind us while we cover our eyes)

Here’s the video:

(Make sure you turn up the volume to hear her say to her mom, “very good, you’re alive” after hitting the target)

Video: Flooding in Houston Brings Out Floating Islands of Fire Ants

Mon, 08/28/2017 - 12:02

Tip of the day: Don’t touch the floating islands of fire ant colonies that are floating around Houston right now, they will really ruin your day.

Hurricane Harvey has brought a lot of bad things along with it, but this might be the worst. . .

Apparently, there are little islands of fire ant colonies being seen floating in the flood waters that have submerged much of south eastern Texas, and they’re  supposedly EVERYWHERE!

See for yourself in the video below:

Video: Blackpowder Bottle Ignites after Shooting Miniature Cannon

Thu, 08/24/2017 - 11:52

Here’s a reminder of how touchy blackpowder can be.

Anytime you’re handling blackpowder, you should always use good judgement and be as careful as possible. This video shows a guy who was rather careless with a bottle of blackpowder, and used really, really poor judgement . . .

As you’ll see, the guy is playing with some kind of miniature cannon, which is pretty cool and all, but he might have forgot something.

When the cannon goes off, you may have noticed an opened bottle sitting just a couple feet behind it. If you didn’t see it, don’t worry, because it’s about to burst into flames after what would appear to be an ember falls into the bottle and ignites the whole thing.

Video: Australian Man Loses His Cool when a Shark Looks Him in the Eye

Wed, 08/23/2017 - 08:35

A great white shark gave a couple Aussies a thrill they won’t soon forget.

The video below shows a large white shark circling a boat while two Australian men watch in awe. The shark, which is estimated to be around 16 feet long, swims a few laps around the boat, puts on a good show for the two gentlemen, and even looks one of them square in the eye as it passes by in the water below.

This causes one of the men to lose his cool for a second, and even suggests they leave the area.

Just as the men agree that they should get out of there, the shark dives into the deep and seems to disappear. Did the shark lose interest in the boat, or is it positioning itself to attack?

Watch the video below to find out what happens:

Video: Bizarre Animal with Human Features Baffles the World

Mon, 08/21/2017 - 12:26

This bizarre animal will either have you scratching your head in confusion, or covering your eyes with terror . . .

Nobody seems to know for sure what this creature is, but it looks like a goat or cow mixed with something from your worst nightmares! It has huge ears, a large under bite, and basically no hair – unless you count the balding comb-over look it’s sporting.

The video of this animal apparently comes from a village in India.

If you have any idea what in the world this could be, please share with us! We’ve sure seen our share of strange animals before, but none had such distinct human features like this one.

Here is the video (be sure to turn up the volume for best viewing):

Video: Angler Goes Full Matrix to Pull in Foul Hooked Sturgeon

Mon, 08/21/2017 - 11:02

Every angler can relate to this: Have you ever hooked a fish that felt like you were reeling in a small boat, and it turns out you hooked only a small bass by its side?

Well, when you’re fishing for large fish such as sturgeon, this is what it looks like if you hook one of those prehistoric monsters in the side. (Be sure to crank up the Facebook video volume to hear the extreme effort!)

As you can see, getting that fish to shore was a two person job! The first angler gave it everything he had – just watch how he goes full Matrix trying to yank this fish in – but eventually has to tap out and let his buddy finish the job.

Video: Shooting Eclipse Photos Could Cause Your Camera to Catch on Fire

Mon, 08/21/2017 - 09:25

This is just a friendly reminder to those folks who enjoy shooting wildlife photography: If you don’t have the proper equipment, you might want to watch this video before shooting pictures of the eclipse.

A total solar eclipse hasn’t been seen anywhere on the U.S. mainland in 38 years, so naturally, people are going to be anxious to try and snap good photos of this thing. We urge you to use caution, however, because if you don’t have the proper filters for your camera lens, you could end up melting the inside of your camera.

Watch this video, and it will explain everything you need to know – and don’t forget to turn up the volume.

Enjoy the eclipse!

Video: .50 Cal vs. Non-Newtonian Fluid

Thu, 08/17/2017 - 10:33

Remember when an Air Force Academy cadet and a professor teamed up to develop a ‘goo’ strong enough to stop bullets? Well, we get to see that material in action . . . sort of.

Watch the video below to see Iraqveteran8888 and a special guest test out the strength of this non-newtonian fluid by shooting a bucket full of it with a .50 Cal rifle:

That went pretty much as expected.

This video was a cool demonstration of how this material works up close, but the shooting test didn’t reveal any shocking results. Anytime you shoot a bucket full of liquid with a .50 caliber rifle, you’re going to have a big mess on your hands.

Video: Larry the Cable Guy Doesn’t Actually have a Southern Accent?

Wed, 08/16/2017 - 09:55

We have semi-breaking news: Larry the Cable Guy – you know, the “Git-er-done” guy – doesn’t actually have a southern accent.

We know, we couldn’t believe it at first either, but it is true.

Now, he admits to being a “linguist chameleon,” in that he actually speaks many different tongues. He spoke with Graham Bensinger in the video below about how part of his family is from Wisconsin, and when he spends time up there he picks up things like a Wisconsin accent.

After watching him perform comedy skits on stage, it’s pretty strange to hear him talk without an accent. See what we’re talking about and if it catches you off guard at first, too:

Video: Police Find Man Nailed to Tree in New Mexico Woods

Fri, 08/11/2017 - 09:21

A really wild story out of New Mexico has surfaced online, after KRQE News 13 obtained police video showing the moment officers found a man in the woods with both of his hands nailed to a tree and screaming for help.

“He kept yelling, ‘Help. Help.’ and so I came and I saw him, and I kind of freaked out because I didn’t know if there was any other guys around,” a city worker told police as he described the scene when he first discovered the man.

Jose Duran was the man nailed to the tree; he was still conscious, breathing, but refusing to say what happened to him or how he got there.

After dozens of paramedics worked for hours to get Duran off the tree, he started to give authorities subtle details about a real estate deal gone wrong, and insisted it wasn’t drug or cartel-related.

So far, no arrests have been made, and at this time, police haven’t released many details on the case.

Video: Watch this Blue Snake Dining on a Diamondback Rattlesnake

Thu, 08/10/2017 - 13:02

Have you heard of this snake before?

Apparently, they’re quite common in Texas, and are known for being the longest snakes in North America. The Texas Indigo, also referred to as Blue Indigo, can exceed over 10 feet in length.

Despite blue snakes being harmless to humans, people see them in the wild and kill them out of fear. No doubt is seeing one in the wild an impressive site, but what’s more impressive is what these things eat.

In the video below, you can see one of these striking blue snakes dragging a dead rattlesnake away to eat it elsewhere. That’s right, these snakes are apparently imune to rattlesnake venom and, in fact, have made the poisonous snake a staple of its diet.

So, if you see one of these snakes in the field one day, don’t kill it, but check your surroundings because there could be a rattler nearby!

Video: Mouse Uses Camouflage to Hide from Cat; This Looks Familiar . . .

Thu, 08/10/2017 - 11:22

Remember the cartoon show Tom and Jerry? Well, we think we just found the real thing . . .

The infamous story of cat chases mouse that entertained millions was an instant cartoon classic. So, we found this video on Twitter and couldn’t pass it up.

This mouse seems to have the whole camouflage concept down pretty well, and as a hunter, you have to tip your cap to it. The cat looks totally confused, and even looks directly at the mouse more than once!

Just hang in there little buddy!

“Tom and Jerry isn’t real” pic.twitter.com/jHrhiaZLYM

— Jackass Fans (@JackAssVine) August 7, 2017

Now, was it just us, or was anybody else expecting the cat to get flattened by that wheel? You know something like that would have happened in the cartoon version.

Video: Fearless Hawk Won’t Give Up this Guy’s Racing Drone

Thu, 08/10/2017 - 10:27

A drone really ticked off this red-tailed hawk, and it won’t back down from the guy trying to get it back.

After watching the video, you have to wonder what this guy was doing prior to turning on his camera that made this hawk so irritated, because it won’t let that thing go.

The guy tries charging at it, swearing (like that’s going to help), and stomping his feet, but no luck.

Finally, he resorts to a Frisbee to back the hawk away from his drone. At this point, the guy goes a little overboard and could have easily just picked up the drone and walked away. What do you think? (Warning: language not suitable for work.)

Video: Goliath Grouper Capsizes Canoe

Wed, 08/09/2017 - 13:52

When Ben Chancey and Jon Black hooked into a goliath grouper while fishing in a canoe off of Stuart, Florida, the two anglers were in for the fight of their life.

It’s always exciting to see the size of a fish you hooked as its shadow creeps closer and closer to the surface, but when Ben and Jon looked down into the water, they were faced with a daunting sight.

According to WOFL Fox 35 however, the video, which was provided by Chew On This Charters, was actually staged. These two anglers have apparently caught several of these big fish, and just wanted to throw a twist in this time around.

I’d say mission accomplished.

There’s nothing like getting your boat capsized by a giant fish just to throw a wrinkle in things . . .

The fish was reportedly caught and released:
