Video: Man Saws Tree into Truck Bed, Learns Hard Lesson on Automobile Suspension

Wed, 08/09/2017 - 10:28

This next video is an oldie but certainly a good one to look back on and laugh!

This guy thought it would be easy and convenient to just saw the remainder of a big old tree right into the bed of his pickup, but he’s about to get a lesson in automobile suspension . . .

Watch the moment he realizes his truck can’t handle the weight of that big tree in the video below, and listen for the reaction of the woman filming – priceless!

Video: Malaysians Dangle Baby Ducks Over Water to Entice and Hook Fish

Wed, 08/09/2017 - 10:12

Here’s a fishing method you’ve probably never tried . . .

These Malaysians are dangling baby ducklings over the water to catch fish, but before you start hollering at us saying how this is cruel, watch the video to see their little trick. (Be sure to turn up the volume):

See, the ducks are merely used to attract the fish. Once a fisherman has a fish’s attention with the dangling baby duck, he places a much smaller bait below the duck, and the fish strikes the second offering. It’s really the same concept as using a large jigging spoon with a small dropper while ice fishing, or a large dodger with a small fly while trolling for salmon. Smart!

Imagine the look on their face if you gave these guys a suicide duck lure. You probably wouldn’t be able to get them to walk away from the lake for days!

Video: See What a Cheap Upper will Handle in this AR-15 Meltdown

Tue, 08/08/2017 - 16:09

You may have seen a lot of these videos before, but in this particular meltdown video, Iraqveteran8888 is keeping it real simple and standard.

Just to have a little fun, he wanted to push a “lower end” upper to its limits, and it’s pretty interesting to see what this thing can withstand. Before you get upset about him burning a cheap gun, allow him to explain – don’t you want to know what your $250 upper can do?

Heck, that’s good enough for us! Let’s see what this thing can do:

Video: A Siberian Fishing Vacation Fit for Vladimir Putin

Tue, 08/08/2017 - 14:41

A Siberian fishing vacation fit for Vladimir Putin apparently entails shirtless fishing, sunbathing and underwater spearfishing for northern pike.

If all you did was watch the news, you’d think Putin has outlawed the word “fun” in Russia. He’s been in seemingly every headline on all major news stations lately, and by now, we’re sure you’re sick of hearing about it.

Well, thankfully – and trust us, we never in a million years imagined we’d be saying something like this – Putin went fishing recently and took off his shirt, and that’s given everyone something else to talk about rather than who hacked who.

Check out Putin’s vacation in the video below:

Video: Hikers Encounter Cougar on a Trail and Do the Dumbest Thing You’ve Ever Seen

Tue, 08/08/2017 - 12:31

There are few other predator animals that you’d rather run into on a hiking trail than a hungry cougar. Watch the video below and find out why.

These hikers were walking along a trail when they ran into a mountain lion using the same path, and instead of backing away and going the opposite direction, this guy decides to test a predator in its environment. He almost lost big time!

Watch the heart-dropping moment when he realizes he’s been set up in a trap.

(Turn up the volume to hear his reaction, but understand in that terrifying moment, he used some bad language.)

Video: Pardon Their French, But That’s a Lot of Snakes!

Tue, 08/08/2017 - 10:53

That transformer box is making a funny rattling sound, but the problem that lies underneath the cover is probably not what you would have expected.

When these guys take the lid off this box, they discover it’s actually been serving as a rattlesnake den. If you have ophidiophobia, (fear of snakes), then this crawling, slithering mess is the stuff of your nightmares.

If you’re up for it, take a look at the Facebook video below:

(We warn you, there is some fowl language in the video, but judging by the number of snakes, we think you’ll find it was warranted. Make sure to turn up the volume to hear the snakes rattle)

Video: KGB Agents Used these Operational Briefcases when Guarding High-Ranking Government Officials

Mon, 08/07/2017 - 08:52

You might have seen one of these “operational briefcases” in a movie before; here’s how they actually work.

Escort operational briefcases are one of the most unusual accessories for AK rifles. They were originally developed for KGB close-protection agents, who were tasked with guarding high-ranking state officials.

Agents could walk right alongside whomever they were tasked with protecting, and with a gun hiding in plane sight, they were ready at a moment’s notice to shed some lead at any attacker. Just a simple click of a button, and an AK rifle appears as if from nowhere – pretty nifty!

In our opinion, however, the HK MP5K operational briefcase is much cooler. Check it out below:

Video: .50 Cal vs. Titanium at 90 Degrees

Fri, 08/04/2017 - 10:15

Just a warning: This is a really bad idea. Do not attempt this at home.

Edwin Sarkissian, who you probably know by now for all of his YouTube videos, brings us yet another video we can’t seem to look away from. This time, Edwin brought a piece of titanium with him to the range, and he’s about to find out why it’s such a bad idea to shoot it at something that will ricochet at a 90 degree angle.

Watch what happens in the video below; oh, and watch your head!:

So many bad ideas in one video, but Edwin redeems himself by being prepared at a moment’s notice when something really bad almost happened.

After shooting the titanium block the second time, a fire ignites in the dry grass surrounding the area. Fortunately, Edwin was prepared and immediately ran over with a fire extinguisher to put out the flame. Just a few more minutes and that fire could have really taken off – a little too close for comfort there!

Texas Man Shoots Armadillo, Bullets Ricochet and Strike Him in the Face

Fri, 08/04/2017 - 09:26

Are armadillos bulletproof? A freak accident in Texas has law enforcement asking that very question after a man shot one of the critters, only to have the bullet ricochet back and hit him in the face.

KSAT reports that around 3 a.m., the man ran outside with his .38 revolver and opened fire.

According to Reuters, Cass County Sheriff Larry Rowe said the man “shot at the armadillo three times.” At least one bullet hit the animal’s hard shell, deflected, then struck the man square in the jaw, Rowe stated.

There have been no reports of anyone recovering the armadillo, so it’s status remains unknown.

New YETI Hunting Film: Arctic Red

Fri, 08/04/2017 - 08:15

Titled Arctic Red, this short film from YETI captures the experience of a Dall’s sheep hunt in Northwest Territories before the kill.

Through fair-chase hunts on foot in rugged country, Tavis Molnar of Arctic Red River Outfitters insists that his clients test their own capabilities and create an experience in those challenges preceding the kill.

The backdrop for this film is the Northern Mackenzie Mountains, but diehard hunters from around the world will appreciate the film’s message about focusing on the journey, not the result.

You will love this film. And so will your hunting buddies.

Bizarre Photos Showing a “Rambuck” Have Hunters Everywhere Perplexed

Wed, 08/02/2017 - 16:43

Try this one on for size: We came across photos of a buck that’s actually a doe, but looks like a bighorn sheep . . . yeah, we’ve been wrestling with this one all day.

Check out this bizarre looking rack on a deer that’s been dubbed “rambuck” for the way its antlers look almost identical to those of a bighorn sheep:

Now, we’ve seen a good number of crazy looking racks in the past, but never one that made a deer look like a different species! Also of note, it appears this is actually a female deer, which might help explain the strange antler formation.

What do all you hunters out there think: Would you shoot or let it walk?

Video: Hunters Film Strong Earthquake as it Shakes Everything Around Them

Wed, 08/02/2017 - 13:27

Everything around them shakes for 20 seconds . . .

We talk a lot about seeing freaky stuff when you’re hunting; would this be enough to get you out of your treestand?

This video shows the moment an earthquake (6.5 on the Richter scale) shook the ground beneath a group of hunters in Italy, and it will make you feel really small.

You know how it is when you’re hunting: Your senses are already on high alert, and every sound or little movement around you sends a shockwave through your body.

Now, imagine you’re sitting quietly in your treestand, when everything around you starts to violently shake. Want to see what we’re talking about? Here’s video so you can get the full effect:

Anyone ever have anything bizarre like this happen while they were hunting?

Video: Guy Dives in Lake and Captures Northern Pike in His Bare Hands

Wed, 08/02/2017 - 12:35

Sometimes, you have to go to the extreme to land a fish; watch and learn.

Are you willing to sacrifice dry clothes in order to land a big fish? If you’re a true angler, we already know the answer to that question. Hopefully, you never have to drop your fishing rod (or your trousers, for that matter) in order to catch a trophy, but if you do, at least make sure you land that sucker!

This guy wasn’t about to let this northern pike get away, and his dedication is admirable. Take a look in the video below:

Video: Female MMA Fighter Miesha Tate Discovers Hidden Talent, Ax Throwing

Wed, 08/02/2017 - 11:00

You might remember Miesha “Cupcake” Tate for delivering knock-out blows in the octagon as an MMA fighter, but apparently she discovered a new talent, and it got our attention.

Miesha posted a video to her YouTube channel showing her working on her ax throwing technique, and it’s safe to say she’s got it down!

“While in Mammoth, California, I decided to work on my ax throwing technique. Who knows, maybe I will enter in an ax throwing competition!” Miesha wrote in the video’s description.

Below is the video.

What do you think? Is Miesha ready for the Lumberjack Championship?

Video: Wheelchair vs. Boat Launch; Emphasis on the Launch

Wed, 08/02/2017 - 10:45

This is proof that wheelchairs and boat ramps don’t mix very well.

Take note here, kids: Playing stupid games wins you stupid prizes. And when you decide to take a wheelchair and turn a boat ramp into a roller coaster, well, you pretty much deserve what’s coming to you.

With that being said, how many of you can recall a similar stunt you pulled off in your heyday?

Take a look at the video below and see how it compares to this stunt:

Video: Drunk Guys Test Jet Boat in Pool; Goes as Expected

Wed, 08/02/2017 - 09:54

There’s really not much to say here, other than it’s definitely time for these two to go home . . .

The phrase “nothing good happens after 2 a.m.” has never rang more clear after seeing what these two guys did. Imagine the surprise of the wife – the one taking the video – walking out to the garage to see this:

Now, before you go tagging your fishing buddy saying, “This is so us, we have to do that!” watch what they do next. Someone needs to start hiding the boat keys from these two apparently . . .

If you want to hear the sound of a wife who’s tired of her husband’s late-night shenanigans, give the video below a listen and you won’t be disappointed. Just get ready to laugh:

New Hunting Film from Sitka: ‘The Linguists’

Mon, 07/31/2017 - 15:41

Recently released, “The Linguists” is a compelling half-hour film about the history and evolution of elk calling. As you’ll see below, it includes interviews and stories from elk-calling pioneers and hunting legends such as Larry D. Jones, Wayne Carlton, Rockie Jacobsen and Will Primos. The story is told by nine-time World Elk Calling Champion Corey Jacobsen (son of Rockie).

In addition to some incredible calling and bugling sequences, the film also captures an emotional father-son bowhunt, as Isaac Jacobsen (Corey’s son) tags his first archery bull elk.

Above is the 30-second trailer for “The Linguists”; below is the film in its entirety. Trust us on this one — it’s well worth your time.

Best Video of the Month! Bear Kills Fawn While Husband and Wife Argue

Fri, 07/28/2017 - 11:11

You aren’t going to believe this video.

A family in Colorado had a front-row seat to the circle of life when a mama bear chased down a fawn right in their backyard.

The video starts off showing two bear cubs about 40-feet up in a tree. Below the cubs on the ground, a small fawn jumped the fence and was seen by the family wandering around the yard. But, this fawn jumped into the wrong yard, because mama bear was waiting, and she’s looking for a meal to feed her cubs.

A chase breaks out, and the fawn frantically tries to escape the yard before the bear can get its razor-sharp claws on it.

You have to see what happens in the video below. The discussion between the husband and wife is priceless!

Video: Mako Shark Jumps on Boat and Gets Wedged in the Railing

Fri, 07/28/2017 - 10:18

A tense moment on a fishing boat has gone viral after video surfaced online of a large mako shark stuck in the railings of a boat.

According to the fishermen, the shark jumped out of the water and onto the boat, where it got jammed between the railing and the boat. It spent a few moments thrashing around and biting at the railing, then eventually wiggled free.

You can hear the sound of panic coming from the voices of the men on board as they try to think of the best way to safely get the shark off the boat. According to Fox 8, the incident occurred off the coast of Long Island.

See it all go down in the video below. Important note: Be sure to turn up the volume to hear the commentary:
