Video: Jim Jefferies Bashes Hunters and Trophy Hunting on TV

Thu, 07/27/2017 - 13:26

Let’s all take a moment and listen to what this guy thinks of hunters; our guess is you won’t like what he has to say.

In this video, Jim Jefferies of Comedy Central sits down to talk a little hunting and share his bold opinions on trophy hunters. Like we said before, antis love nothing more than to stir things up when they get an opportunity, and this clip from the Jim Jefferies Show is a prime example:

If you couldn’t tell, Jim isn’t much of a hunter. He shares some strong feelings for our sport, and he clearly despises it.

And, by the way, if you’re wondering where all that extremely aggressive/violent behavior toward hunters on social media comes from, it’s probably because of shows like this that offer a public platform for bashing hunters and spewing out-of-context and false information.

Drone Video: Massive Crocodile Drags a Cow Downriver

Tue, 07/25/2017 - 13:12

Crikey, that’s a massive alligator!

While out for a day’s Barramundi fishing in the Kimberley in Western Australia, a YouTube user by the name Trip In A Van captured a crocodile estimated to be 16 to 20 feet in length swimming with a snack in its jaws.

The snack would turn out to be a huge full-grown cow that the croc seemingly snagged from off the river bank. The angler spotted the scene and instantly got a camera in the sky to take a closer look.

“We followed him with the drone as it dragged the cow downriver. It eventually got fed up with the drone buzzing over him and tried to pull the cow underwater,” the angler said according to UPI.

Watch the incredible scene described as “pure awesomeness of nature” below:

Wild Video: Watch a Wall of Water Appear as a Boat Submarines into the Water

Tue, 07/25/2017 - 11:28

This is why some passengers have to sit in the back of the boat . . .

We’ve seen some pretty insane stuff happen to boats out on the water, but this might take the cake!

The video shows a group of ladies sitting on the bow of a boat as they cruise across a lake. Suddenly, the boat hits a wave and a wall of water appears all around the boat as it plunges downward. The boat submarines for a second, and then the whole boat and everyone in it is soaked.

Talk about a white knuckle ride! Check out this wild video below (be sure to turn up the volume):

Video: This is Why Smart Guns Aren’t Ready for Prime Time

Tue, 07/25/2017 - 11:07

The Armatix iP1 pistol and its RFID watch are sold as one of the most secure firearm systems on the market, but are they really f00l-proof?

A hacker, who goes by ‘Plore,’ has discovered some flaws in the Armatix system that entirely defeats its security measures.

Gun control groups have been pushing for smart gun adoption for years, but many gun rights advocates strongly oppose them, fearing that a flaw in expensive technology will be legally mandated.

As you’ll see in the video, it takes only a few cheap magnets to override what this smart gun is designed to do:

If you’re at all interested in owning/carrying a gun, we highly recommend you go to a local firing range or gun shop and take some basic firearms courses. Training can help you get familiar with your gun and learn everything you need to know. That way, instead of smart guns we can just have smart people with guns.

Boat Launch Fail Video: Pontoon and Pickup Floating Down the River

Mon, 07/24/2017 - 16:03

Well, we saw this video floating around the internet today – no pun intended – and thought it would be a good reminder to be careful launching your boat this summer.

We’ve seen our fair share of boat launch fails in the past, so here’s another one taken after the fact, but the message still rings loud and clear: Be careful launching your boat, because you don’t want to see this floating in the water . . .  ever:

Naked Michigan Man Arrested After Taking LSD and Chasing Seagulls at a State Park

Mon, 07/24/2017 - 15:05

A Michigan man was arrested over the weekend after he reportedly ingested LSD and was found chasing seagulls completely naked through a state park in northern Michigan.

Click on Detroit says state police received a call around 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 23, about a man causing a scene at Petoskey State Park. It’s safe to say state troopers weren’t expecting what they discovered when they arrived on scene.

The man was seen running around, screaming, and totally naked chasing after seagulls as they landed on the ground. When troopers tried to arrest him, he became irate and even threatened an officer.

He eventually returned to the parking lot and sustained some injuries when he dove onto the pavement. The Ann Arbor man was taken into custody and is facing multiple charges, which include indecent exposure and resisting and obstructing a police officer.

200 Sheep Cliff Dive to Their Death Running from a Brown Bear

Mon, 07/24/2017 - 11:59

A flock of sheep was apparently chased off a cliff in the Pyrenees, and a brown bear is thought to be the prime suspect.

The Guardian is reporting that over 200 sheep hurled themselves off a steep cliff, which sits directly on the border between France and Spain. It sounds like this was a panicked reaction after the predator initially attacked one sheep in the flock and the rest freaked out and plunged 650 feet to their deaths.

The bodies of the sheep were later found in both France and in the Spanish village of Lladorre.

Folks started pointing fingers at a grizzly bear after the Spanish news station Europa Press reported finding bear fur on one of the sheep at the bottom of the mountain.

This incident has provoked an angry response, primarily from farmers raising livestock in the mountain region. Brown bears – a protected species in Spain – have been reintroduced to the area over a time span of 3 decades, and from the sound of this bizarre story, it sounds like the population is right on its way to recovering in a hurry.

Facebook Live Video: Edwin Evers Checks in from BASS event on St. Lawrence River

Fri, 07/21/2017 - 10:35

OutdoorHub contributor Edwin Evers is fishing the Bassmaster Elite tournament on the St. Lawrence River in upstate New York, and in the clip below he provides an update on how things went on day No. 1. A few days ago in his regular OHUB bass blog, he talked about this event, and so far things are going according to plan.

Edwin is sitting in 12th place with 21 pounds (five bass), so the event is starting off well for him. Good luck on day No. 2, Edwin!

Video: Check Out this Whopping 1,000-Pound-Draw Crossbow

Fri, 07/21/2017 - 09:23

Looking for a new crossbow this year? How about one that could take down a T-Rex?

This guy took the front spring off of a 7.5 ton truck, bolted it to a piece of wood and created a crossbow with extraordinary power. Viewing tip: He finally gets the amazing crossbow built by the 5:30 mark of the video; check it out below!

Sometimes, if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. None of the store-bought crossbows seemed to be enough for YouTuber Turbo Conquering Mega Eagle, so he took matters into his own hands. We figure with a bow requiring 1,000 pounds to draw, he ought to be set in the power department.

Video: Massive Multiple Boat Fire Engulfs Marina at Lake Texoma

Thu, 07/20/2017 - 13:42

Several high-end boats and yachts were destroyed in a fire that broke out at a marina on Lake Texoma Wednesday morning, DFW is reporting.

The fire reportedly began on U Dock at the Highport Marina in Pottsboro, Texas. Flames, thick smoke and explosions could be seen for miles as the fire spread from boat to boat.

Officials are still uncertain what sparked this blaze, however, witnesses have said a maintenance crew was working on a boat when it caught fire.

Texas Game Warden Capt. Steve Stapleton said there are 10 to 15 “large boats” on fire and every one of them will likely burn into the water.

It’s a sad sight to see; you can watch the massive fire engulf the whole marina in the video below:

Video: Is This Pneumatic Bayonet the Most Dangerous Gun Accessory on the Market?

Thu, 07/20/2017 - 12:59

We saw a video for this new gun accessory, and we want to hear what you think about it.

Bayonext is the world’s only rail mountable front deploying bayonet. It can easily be mounted in any rail position with industry-standard 1-inch flashlight mounts.

Intrigued? Concerned? We have some mixed emotions about this new accessory as well. A lot of people want to know how quickly this device deploys and how the trigger mechanism works, so let’s take a closer look:

Aside from this device being insanely dangerous, it’s also important to note that it’s illegal in many states. Be sure to do your homework on the laws in your state before investing in one of these accessories.

Video: Here’s What this Swan Thinks of Being Labelled ‘Aggressive’

Thu, 07/20/2017 - 10:01

So, apparently swans can be pretty sensitive, and we have video to prove it.

“Caution Swan is Aggressive” read the sign put in place to warn people of the bird’s feisty behavior. However, the swan sees it differently and doesn’t like being called aggressive.

In a fit of rage, which also turned out to be a self-fulfilling prophecy, the swan decided to show that sign who’s boss.

Here’s what this swan thinks of being labelled “aggressive.”

Video: Insane Florida Man Shoots AT&T Trucks Parked Outside His House

Thu, 07/20/2017 - 09:25

A video showing a man shooting the tires of an AT&T truck outside his home has been receiving a lot of attention on social media recently.

The man was clearly upset that the work trucks were parked outside his house, so his solution was to shoot the tires and the engine on two of the trucks.

Tip for staying alive: When a lunatic like this starts shooting, turn and run the other direction! Don’t stand there and film it with your phone. This is a good example of what NOT to do in an open-fire situation:

Video: Summer + Swimbaits = Multi-Species Success

Wed, 07/19/2017 - 07:30

After lakes, rivers and reservoirs heat up under the summer sun, the underwater cycle of life is in full-swing. There’s an abundance of food for fish of all sizes, and it’s during this period that anglers can catch bass, walleyes, northern pike and other species on a wide variety of presentations. That said, one of my favorite — and most effective — lure types for catching larger predators is a swimbait.

Check out my video below where I discuss a few simple ways to rig and retrieve swimbaits. They are deadly during the summer — don’t pull away from the dock without a good selection of swimbaits!

Video: Say Hello to the World’s Largest Super Soaker!

Tue, 07/18/2017 - 13:58

Introducing the Guinness World Record Largest Super Soaker. Measuring 7 feet long and capable of shooting water at speeds up to 272 mph, this thing definitely COULD shoot Ralphie’s eye out.

The builder of this epic water pistol, Mark Rober, explains in the video below how he constructed the gun and the science behind what makes it tick.

Take a look “under the hood” of this massive super soaker and you’ll see right away this is not just your average wimpy squirt gun:

If you want more of the technical details, Mark explains how to find those in the video.

He also runs some simple experiments to test out his new invention, and you won’t believe the power this thing holds! I know one thing, if I’m in a water war and this guy joins in, I’m running for the hills!

Watch and see why in the video below:
