Great Boat Accessory: The Cyntur
If you read this blog regularly, you know it’s rare I’ll focus on a single product in it. Mostly, that’s because it’s rare that a product worth that much attention comes along. But in this case…
...Extensive Ram recalls may affect you
As you may already know, FCA (formerly Fiat Chrysler) has been hit with the highest punishment ever for transgressions that the NHTSA considered the worst ever for a vehicle manufacturer. I personally believe that some of the huge fines and other actions are punitive since top FCA management is perceived as stonewalling over 23 recalls. At the rate that regulators are requiring recalls, I suspect that vehicle prices will stay high or increase since this has to be part of the calculation.
...5 Guns for life and liberty in a ‘Red Dawn’ scenario (VIDEO)
The Iraqveteran8888 crew go over their choices for five guns they would grab from off the rack in a situation where they would have to go “inna woods” and Wolverine it up.
While the likelihood of Russian or Chinese paratroopers dropping from the sky may seem far-fetched, the IV8888 guys argue that anything from societal breakdown after stock markets crash due to cyber attacks, a tyrannical government forcing compliance after dissolving our constitution– or an invading force could– present a theoretical situation in which picking five guns from the herd makes sense.
Or at least an interesting discussion.

Cobra Chases Down and Attacks Chameleon (VIDEO)
Are a chameleon’s camouflaging abilities any match for a deadly cobra?
As this interesting clip from National Geographic shows, the answer to that question is a resounding no.
The video shows us a life-and-death battle between a chameleon and a zebra spitting cobra. While chameleons are renowned for their exceptional camouflaging abilities, they are no match for a cobra’s sense of smell or deadly venom…

Angler Finds Baby Duck Inside Bass
A woman near Pittsboro, Indiana did a double take when she looked inside a recently-caught bass and found a duckling.
“I guess baby duck was on the menu for this bass that Andrew caught tonight. I’m a little disturbed,” Carrie Fortner wrote on Facebook.
Now many anglers already know that bass—and many other fish—will snack on the occasional baby duck, but it is entirely different to see it firsthand…

3 Striper Fishing Tips All Anglers Should Know
When it comes to fishing for striped bass, I’m something of a nut. In fact, the third book I wrote, Rudow’s Guide to Rockfish, is about nothing but striper fishing from cover to cover. Bear Breaks into Pie Shop, Devours 38 Full Pies
Owners of a pie shop in Pinewood Springs, Colorado say a bear broke into the store on Monday night and had a massive, sugary feast. According to Mikaela Lehnert, who operates the Colorado Cherry Company along with her mother Kristi, the bear’s raid yielded some interesting conclusions regarding its taste in pies.
“Cherry and apple was his favorite. He passed over the strawberry rhubarb,” Kristi Lehnert told KDVR.

Amateur Researcher Says Loch Ness Monster is a Giant Catfish
Steve Feltham, 52, is best known as one of the leading figures in the hunt for the Loch Ness Monster, commonly called “Nessie” after the lake in the Scottish Highlands. Almost 25 years ago, Feltham left his home, job, and girlfriend in southwest England to join the hunt for the legendary creature. Feltham has spent so much time searching for Nessie—nearly half his life—that the Guinness Book of World Records recognized him for the longest continuous hunt for the monster, but that hunt may soon be over. Feltham recently told The Times of London that he now believes the monster was just a wels catfish.
