Louisiana Men Cited for Stealing over 500 Alligator Eggs
Officers from the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) have cited two men for allegedly stealing alligator eggs and violating other regulations while in a state refuge.
According to the agency, officers stopped Paul Canik, 47, and Christopher Trahan, 24, as the two men were leaving Rockefeller State Wildlife Refuge on July 16. The men were leaving the marsh on an airboat and were hauling a large number of alligator eggs, which officials discovered were taken from a restricted section of the refuge. When officers arrived to seize their 14-foot airboat and an 18-foot flatboat, they also found a cache of 523 alligator eggs…

Houston police catch cobra at high-rise apartment complex
HOUSTON (AP) — An aggressive 2-foot-long cobra captured at a luxury high-rise apartment complex in Houston has been euthanized.
A licensed pest control company official said Thursday that the albino monocled cobra was very dangerous. Josie Moss with A All Animal Control in Houston says the snake’s venom can be deadly.
Houston police were summoned to the complex Saturday when some residents spotted the snake on the third floor. Police used a broom to corner and capture the cobra.
Authorities aren’t sure how the snake, which is native to Southeast Asia, ended up in the building or who owned it.
Moss says her company tried to find a home for the snake before euthanizing it, but didn’t find a lot of people interested due to the reptile’s aggression.
Nobody was hurt.

This is his second buck, he shot his first in Gonzales county with his Grandpa from a tree blind.Again he aimed and shot by himself. That hunt we got down and he told his Grandpa ” Ok , we have to look for blood” ….the buck was 40 yards away, perfect shot. He was 5 !

Redfish – Baffin Bay
Garrett Truelock, 13, of Kerrville caught this 27 and 3/4 inch, 7.58 pound redfish while fishing in the 20th Annual Salty Dog Tournament in Rock Port on June 27, 2015. He caught this on live croaker in Baffin Bay. This was his first tournament and won 2nd place for largest redfish! Garrett lives for fishing and looks forward to many, many more tournaments.

STAR Teens Upper Coast leader
Austin Calhoun (age 14) with his most prized catch, caught on July 3, 2015 while fishing with his dad Josh Calhoun. His fish weighs in at 9lbs 2 ozs and is 28″ long with a 16″girth. Austin’s trout is also being submitted for the new Texas Youth State Record, being 2 ozs heavier than the previous record. The picture was taken at Pelican Rest Marina in Galveston, Texas where he weighed his fish in for the CCA STAR Tournament.
