Gun Review: 3-Inch Colt Python .357 Revolver
The new model 3″ Colt Python is the same exceptional revolver as the 4.25″ and 6″ Pythons released in 2020, but with a 3″ barrel. I wasn’t entirely sure that would be the case.
Since Colt re-released the famed Pythons, the American icon was sold to Czech Ceska Zbrojovka Group, aka CZG, or affectionately known around the world simply as CZ.
Lots of people lamented the “fall” of an American firearms manufacturer, but most long-time Colt fans, (and I certainly fit into that category) were happy to see the change.

The Sorry State Of Anti-Gun Business Apps
Mohandas Gandhi supposedly said, “If you want to change the world, start with yourself.” If we want to make the world a better place for the natural human right of self defense, we have to start with ourselves and our own choices, often with the dollars we spend.
Right now, the fight against anti-gun policies in government is going pretty well, especially in he wake of NYSRPA v Bruen. The fight clearly isn’t over — it never will be — but we could be at the beginning of a golden age of gun rights and rollbacks of limits during which law after law falls in the courts.

Durham: We Can’t Take Guns Away From Bad Guys Because That Would Be Gun Control
I’ve heard it said by gun advocates that all that’s needed to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. The idea is that we need more guns, not fewer. We just need them in the hands of the good people.
I doubt that means we are going to take guns away from bad people. That would fall under the heading of gun control.
SAF Sues to Block California’s Ban on Gun Shows Held on Public Property
Part of the post-Bruen anti-gun furies that were unleashed in California was a new law that did what the state had been threatening to do for years. Senate Bill 264, signed into law by the state’s Carnival Barker-in-Chief, Gavin Newsom, banned gun shows on all public property.
That means long-standing shows held at venues like the Orange County Fair and Events Center and the Del Mar Fairgrounds north of San Diego will have to find other private venues or die.
Another Armed Citizen Stops a Crazed Mass Shooter, This Time in Montenegro
By Pedrag Milic, AP
Montenegro declared three days of national mourning Saturday, a day after 10 people, including two children, were killed in a daylight attack by a 34-year-old gunman who police said had recently exhibited a “change in behavior.”
The attacker used a hunting rifle to first shoot to death two children, 8 and 11, and their mother, who lived as tenants in his house in the western city of Cetinje’s Medovina neighborhood.
FBI: Alec Baldwin Pulled The Trigger on the Movie Set Revolver, Killing Halyna Hutchins
In yet another investigatory coup by the FBI, the bureau’s crack forensic boffins have officially determined what literally everyone else who knows even the first thing about firearms knew almost immediately after the movie set shooting last October. Alec Baldwin pulled the trigger on the revolver that day, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza.
Since everything the FBI does seems to be an open book these days, ABC News got its hands on the bureau’s findings .
Obscure Object of Desire: The Walther MPK Submachine Gun
In the summer of 1972 I was five years old. I don’t remember much from that time but I have a fairly good memory of the TV news reports of the Munich Olympic Village massacre, where the Palestinian group Black September murdered 11 Israeli Olympic athletes.
One thing that didn’t go unnoticed: the unique Walther MP series submachine guns used by first responder German Polizei units. They looked so sinister. It would take more than four decades for me to finally actually fire one, an opportunity provided by Battlefield Vegas.

Indianapolis Experiments With More Holistic Approaches to Reducing ‘Gun Violence’
By Thomas D. Stucky, IUPUI
Indianapolis is no stranger to gun violence. The city is also trying many promising approaches to reducing violence that – if proven successful – could benefit other urban areas across the U.S.
The city’s homicide rate in 2020, at 24.4 per 100,000 residents, was approximately triple the national average, and the city’s highest on record. Approximately 80% of those homicides were perpetrated using firearms.

Stacey Abrams Blames Gov. Brian Kemp’s ‘Extreme Gun Agenda’ for Cancellation of Atlanta Music Festival
By Sudhin Thanawala, AP
Tens of thousands of Music Midtown festivalgoers are no longer going to descend on Atlanta’s massive Piedmont Park next month to cheer on hip-hop star Future or watch beloved rock band My Chemical Romance take the stage.
In fact, some people are convinced Atlanta — center of the nation’s hip-hop music scene — will lose more music festivals and performances on public land as organizers and artists learn that state law makes it nearly impossible for them to stop people from carrying guns among the crowds.

That’s apparently what happened to one Amazon delivery driver in Middletown, Ohio. A man reportedly ran him while carrying a knife.
According to fox19.com . . .
The driver was out on his route when the suspect, Christopher Roberts, walked up to him with a knife, according to Middletown police.
One More Time for All the New York Politicians – It’s the Criminals, Not the Guns
New York’s gun laws are a mess. Antigun politicians passing them don’t have a clue. Worse yet, the people facing the consequences are law-abiding New Yorkers.
They’re also the ones facing danger. Case in point – New York City’s Democratic Mayor Eric Adams recent reveal. The mayor told media, “When it comes to guns, this year, 2,386 people were arrested with a gun. Of those, approximately 1,921 are out on the street.
Thomas: Make ‘Good Guys With Assault Rifles’ Pay for Those Who Are Killed With Their Guns
If personal responsibility is now the answer to the issue of unwanted pregnancies, we need to make it the answer to gun shootings as well. Sure, like with having sex, U.S. citizens have the right to bear arms. But if a woman gets pregnant when her or her partner’s contraceptive fails, in the eyes of the antiabortion crowd she holds full responsibility.
So the same should apply to gun purchasers.
