Body Armor Saves Denver Cop Who Was Shot Three Times During an Unprovoked Ambush [VIDEO]

Sat, 06/24/2023 - 16:00

Body armor saves lives. Yes, it’s hot and uncomfortable, but it stops bullets sent in your direction by bad guys. A Denver cop learned that first-hand earlier this month when a lunatic named Nicholas Lendrum opened fire on the officer as he worked in his squad car outside a Quality Inn hotel. The armor soaked up three rounds, allowing the officer to do the only polite thing: return fire.

The body armor-less Lendrum, 35, absorbed several rounds of the 17 the wounded officer fired back at him.

Succession: Anti-Gun Billionaire George Soros Names Son Alexander to Carry on His ‘Progressive’ Agenda

Sat, 06/24/2023 - 13:00

One of the most powerful forces in “progressive” politics announced he’s stepping away and named his son as successor. The plan means there could be big changes coming to the organization behind some of the worst criminal prosecutors across the country – and not good changes.

Billionaire and mega-backer of soft-on-crime politicians and prosecutors George Soros announced he’s stepping aside from leading the Open Society Foundation, his nonprofit that spends $1.5 billion every year on Left-wing causes and politicians at every level.

Tulsa Top Cop: I’m a Second Amendment Guy…But Giving Up Some of That Freedom Is Fine

Sat, 06/24/2023 - 08:00

Ultimately, I’m a Second Amendment guy. I own guns of course. But I’m okay giving up some of that freedom, right? We had to give up some of that freedom after 9/11. I’m okay with waiting three days, five days, or whatever to get my firearm if I go out and purchase another firearm. So I’m okay with a pause to allow for weapons to be purchased and allow the government and the gun companies to look at the background and do a thorough check before that gun goes to someone.

New Jersey’s Dominant Media Continues to Whistle Past the Bruen Gun Control Graveyard

Fri, 06/23/2023 - 16:00

Traditionally the media in New Jersey is biased, with the dominant papers owned by large progressive corporations. Some independent and smaller media companies in the Garden State actually embrace civil liberties.

One paper that’s owned by a big corporation and tends to be more centrist recently rolled out a flawed op-ed presumably by the editorial staff. The Press of Atlantic City published “New Jersey’s gun-law fix for Supreme Court ruling is not the disaster it seems” and like most casual reporting on the topic, it falls short on the finer points.

The White House: Where the ‘Facts’ are Made Up and Second Amendment Rights Just Don’t Matter

Fri, 06/23/2023 - 14:00

The President is on the loose again, uttering nonsense about the Second Amendment. 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, we have a problem.

President Joe Biden spoke to a collection of political donors as he’s gearing up his 2024 re-election campaign and used his gun control grindstone to churn out well-worn and discredited Second Amendment tropes. The problem is – it’s all malarky. No kidding, man.

President Joe Biden might just be the lying dog-face pony soldier he accuses others of being.

Senator Joni Ernst Wants to Know Why the IRS Is Arming Up

Fri, 06/23/2023 - 12:00

By Lee Williams

Iowa Senator Joni Ernst introduced a bill last week titled “Why does the IRS Have Guns Act,” which would prohibit the IRS from buying or storing guns and ammunition, transfer all IRS firearms to the General Services Administration so they could be auctioned off to licensed gun dealers to reduce the national debt, and move the agency’s Criminal Investigation Division to the control of the Justice Department.

“The taxman is fully loaded at the expense of the taxpayer,” Ernst said in a statement.

CRPA’s CCW Reckoning Program Forces Hostile CA Counties to Issue Carry Permits

Fri, 06/23/2023 - 10:00

By C.D. Michel and Kostas Moros

The landmark Bruen ruling was a huge win for gun owners across the country, but as we’ve seen repeatedly, Supreme Court rulings alone are not self-enforcing. It still takes work to pressure the government at all levels to comply. Enforcing Bruen is no exception.

Thankfully, the California Rifle & Pistol Association (CRPA) developed good working relationships with most Sheriffs in California in the last ten years or so.

One of These Things is Not Like the Other and Kodak Black’s Attorney Notices the Difference

Fri, 06/23/2023 - 08:00

Rapper Kodak Black’s lawyer suggested there are “two tiers of justice” on Tuesday after Hunter Biden received no prison time and no felony convictions for the same federal weapons crime that stuck the rapper with a sentence of three years in federal prison.

“Kodak was charged for the same crime. Got over 3 years,” Bradford Cohen, a Florida-based criminal attorney, wrote in an Instagram post. “Mr. Biden will not serve a day.

Gun Meme of the Day: Public Lands Edition

Thu, 06/22/2023 - 18:00

A great shooting area on national forest land that I used to use regularly was closed down a couple years ago because of this. People were shooting and leaving so much trash out there that refrigerant, oil, coolant, and other toxins were getting into a creek near the range and ending up in a nearby lake. Don’t suck. Pack it in, pack it out, etc etc.

Rep Rashida Tlaib Seeks to Mandate Firearm Dealers Attempt to Sell a Lock With Every Gun

Thu, 06/22/2023 - 16:00

From the department of redundant redundancy departments comes “The Squad” backbencher, Congressnon-man Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), pushing legislation that would force gun dealers to have locks available for every firearm they sell. Not included with the firearm, mind you, just available for sale and the store must also offer said lock or safe storage device at the time of the gun purchase.

Apparently she’s unaware that all handguns sold in the U.S. already must come with a secure gun storage or safety device, which is usually in the form of a cable lock.

Father’s Day Story: North Carolina Man Shoots Attacker to Protect His Daughter

Thu, 06/22/2023 - 14:00

It won’t surprise you that most parents have a strong protective instinct when it comes to their kids. Nothing brings out the mama or papa bear instinct like messing with their cubs. On Father’s day, a 23-year-old man learned that fact of life the hard way. He reportedly accosted an 11-year-old girl in her own backyard in Wilson’s Mills, North Carolina. His problems began when the girl’s siblings ran inside and told mom and dad.

No Matter How Senile He May Be, Joe Biden Is a Never-Ending Fount of Anti-Gun Lies

Thu, 06/22/2023 - 12:00

President Joe Biden’s first presidential speechwriter jumped ship after one year and the gun control lies didn’t stop. Media outlets finally began fact-checking the president’s repeated false claims even as he continued reciting them. The truth demonstrates he’s clearly wrong, yet here we are again. The more things change the more they stay the same.

President Biden has a problem lying about gun control and the firearm industry.

Third Circuit Court of Appeals Stays Portion of New Jersey Carry-Killer Injunction

Thu, 06/22/2023 - 10:00

We’ve been covering closely the shenanigans in New Jersey concerning carry. Just the other day, I made the prediction that gun owners will be victorious in the long run, and I stand by that. As fate would have it, the preliminary injunction that we covered a few weeks ago has had a partial stay placed on it by the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. While this is a blow, it’s not the end of the world for Garden State gun owners.

Chesterton’s Fence, or Why Gun Control Bulldozes the Needs (and Rights) of the Average Person

Thu, 06/22/2023 - 08:00

Back in 1929, in The Thing: Why I Am a Catholic, G.K. Chesterton introduced a decision-making principle that came to be known as Chesterton’s fence:

In the matter of reforming things, as distinct from deforming them, there is one plain and simple principle; a principle which will probably be called a paradox. There exists in such a case a certain institution or law; let us say, for the sake of simplicity, a fence or gate erected across a road.

Veterans, Guns & Cigars – Networking and Competition Shooting Events for Vets and Everyone Else

Wed, 06/21/2023 - 16:00

We cover events like SHOT Show, NRAAM, SIG Freedom Days, and similar gatherings, but the recent Veterans, Guns, & Cigars event isn’t your typical firearm trade show. As the name implies, it’s aimed at military veterans and active duty servicemen and women. That said, anyone can attend. The events are put together by a husband and wife team through a military veteran networking organization called Meritorious.

The goal of the event is to bring veterans together and offer them networking opportunities while also having a bit of ballistic fun.

As we’ve reviewed no shortage of Ruger Mark-series guns, including the Mark IV 22/45 Lite, Mark IV Target, Mark IV 22/45 Bull Barrel and more, this won’t be an in-depth gun review. The SSH, or Silencer Shop Host, is the same Ruger Mark IV 22/45 that you know and love. But with a twist.

It sports the shortest Mark-series pistol barrel ever to leave Ruger’s factory at just 3 inches in length.

Surprising No One, the President’s Junkie Son Gets a Sweetheart Deal for His Tax, Gun Law Violations

Tue, 06/20/2023 - 19:00

By Lee Williams

The Biden Family’s infamous dual standard of justice was on full display this morning when Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss disclosed the details of Hunter Biden’s sweetheart plea deal. Weiss had been investigating allegations of tax and firearm violations involving the president’s son for more than five years

Biden the younger will plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges after failing to pay federal income tax in 2017 and 2018 — he owed more than $1 million in back taxes.
