Demand Soars for Female Gun Instructors

Thu, 04/24/2014 - 11:12

If women want to get paid like men, treated like men, why would they want to be trained by women? This is the problem with so-called “equality,” it never really works.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — If you’re a woman, and you’re licensed to shoot, then your skills are in hot demand.

The market for female gun instructors is booming as more women want to learn to shoot — both for self defense and for sport, said Tina Wilson-Cohen, who owns She Can Shoot, an all-women firearm and self-defense training business in Fairfax, Va.

“When I started training women in 2007, there weren’t many female instructors,” she said. “Now you’re not the only name in town.”

The National Rifle Association, noting the burgeoning market opportunity, is trying to boost its ranks of 8,000 NRA-certified female instructors, said spokesman Andrew Arulanandam.

In 2009, the NRA organized 280 “Women On Target” training clinics nationwide, and 8,000 women signed up. In 2013, the group held 450 clinics for 12,000 women.

While Arulanandam said self protection is still the primary reason women take up gun training, he said they’re increasingly realizing “that they’d like to pursue it for activities like target shooting or skeet shooting.”

Scalia puts Sotomayor in her place

Thu, 04/24/2014 - 10:35

Gun-hater Sotomayor likes to play the Race-Card, Scalia had something to say about it:

Scalia scolds Sotomayor for ‘shameful’ racial accusations on affirmative action ban

Whenever race becomes an issue, passions tend to rise — even among the justices serving in the nation’s highest court.

In a 6-2 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that Michigan voters had a right to discontinue the state’s affirmative action policy, which had given minorities a leg up on admission to public universities and colleges, according to the

I’m not surprised the enemies of guns also hate free speech, I am surprised they’re actually trying to ban free speech.

Justice Stevens: Enemy of the Second Amendment and the Constitution

Mon, 04/21/2014 - 21:21

John Paul Stevens, the former Supreme Court Justice nominated by Gerald Ford (sometimes Republicans screw up), has a radical agenda:

Among the amendments Stevens suggests

•Changing the Second Amendment to make clear that only a state’s militia, not its citizens, has a constitutional right to bear arms.

•Changing the Eighth Amendment’s prohibition against “cruel and unusual punishments” by specifically including the death penalty.

•Removing from First Amendment protection any “reasonable limits” on campaign spending enacted by Congress or the states.

•Requiring that congressional and state legislative districts be “compact and composed of contiguous territory” to stop both parties from carving out safe seats.

•Eliminating states’ sovereign immunity from liability for violating the Constitution or an act of Congress, which he calls a “manifest injustice.”

•Allowing Congress to require states to perform federal duties in emergencies, in order to reduce “the risk of a national catastrophe.”

“Guy buybacks will never reduce violent crime”, said gun-hater Wintemute

Mon, 04/21/2014 - 14:11

Wintemute is one of those gun-haters the media loves to site, this is an old story but the quote is very revealing:

““They never will reduce rates of violent crime, but that may have been the wrong parameter to look at.” As part of a larger discussion about public safety, Wintemute says, buybacks may play an important role in mobilizing a community to examine gun control”

Review: A Haunted House II

Fri, 04/18/2014 - 17:16

A Haunted House 2 doesn’t sell the 2nd Amendment, but it does feature the shooting of a dog and plenty of irresponsible gun play, although I wouldn’t call this film anti-gun or pro-gun, the guns here are just props.

The critics hate this movie, and if you don’t watch the horror movies this film parodies, you’re going to hate it to. I on the other hand didn’t hate it, while it wasn’t as funny as the original, it had plenty of funny moments. The sex scene with a doll was worth the price of the admission, the banter between the Mexican (Gabriel Iglesias) and Wayans was funny as hell.

The last time I checked, the user reviews for this movie where 84% vs. 14% from the critics on Flixter. Critics don’t get it, they like high-brow crap like the English patient. They’re always giving 5-stars to movies the average person hates.

This movie is like Friday the 13th, a roller-coaster! It’s made for fans, not for critics. It’s made for people that actually watch all the horror movies this film parodies. If you hate horror movies, if you hate politically incorrect films, if you can’t stand a little gross humor, you’re gonna hate this movie.

But if you’re tired of PG-13 crap, if you’re ready for a funny R-rated film, maybe you&...

XD-S 9MM: A 4″ Gun

Fri, 04/18/2014 - 16:45

I like the product, but here’s what they did wrong in my opinion.

1. When you have a USP (unique selling proposition) such as your gun being 4 inches long, that’s what you put in your headline. Otherwise your ad is unnoticeable

2. Put the gun next to something that’s 4″ long or bigger so we can get some perspective of size

3. Mention ads. In real estate it’s been proven that ads with prices get 50% more calls than those without them. I’m pretty sure many gun buyers are price conscious, or at least want to know how much money they need to save to buy their dream gun
